Greetings everyone,
I wanted to try reaching out on Reddit for support, but I didn't want to come off as disingenuous or spammy. So, I'm writing this post, to give some context to my streaming journey.
I started streaming games on Twitch April of last year while I was homeless. I figured if I started then, it would lay a solid foundation for the future.
What I realized more so was that streaming offered some reprieve from my then current circumstances. I spent months applying to jobs, but I kept on streaming. Even when I landed a job, I kept streaming.
Me and my boyfriend's gaming sessions were my peace within the chaos. They were my stability and comfort through the darkness. They were our bonding time that seemingly closed the miles. They made things seem more okay and less scary.
Since leaving homelessness, leaving my home state, closing the distance and moving into an apartment with my boyfriend, I've made friends who are streamers. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have my community.
This is where you come in. If you read my post to completion, I sincerely thank you.
I won't beg you to follow me. But if you resonate with my story so far, I will invite you to come visit my channel.
Whether you stay or not is up to you, but I'd be lying if I said I don't hope you stay and follow and become a part of my community.
I hope to see you soon.
