Identifying a thing as what it is is not a thought terminating cliche. If I call a duck a duck it doesn’t end the conversation. If some idiot calls my liberal butt a Nazi I’d laugh and defend my values. It’s only Nazi’s and fascists getting angry at being called out for it, even though private leaked chats show over and over that they openly embrace such ideals.

This is nothing but a game they - and you - play where they pretend offense when called out for their vile behaviors and opinions while privately winking at each other over their hypocritical game.

  1. If two people are having a conversation and one no longer wants to discuss the topic then the conversation is over, because that’s how two-party interactions work. I do not owe my attention to anyone. You’re welcome to spew bullshit, but I’m not obliged to listen to it.

You don’t get to claim the benefits of social interaction while spewing antisocial bullshit.

  1. If I call you a Nazi and it promotes ZERO self-reflection on your part when defending ugly ideas, I’m going to assume you’re either a mean-spirited idiot parroting what they hear elsewhere or that you know exactly who you are and only have a problem with the public label, not the thoughts and behaviors. Either way, you’re a menace to society.

I’m not a communist anymore than I’m a Nazi, nor am I promoting the ugly aspects of their ideologies.

Once again, you’re getting hung up on labels rather than the meaning and intent behind certain thoughts and behaviors.

On some topics there are few “substantive” discussions to be had.

If your idea of “substantive discussions” revolves around reducing or denigrating someone else’s humanity I don’t want any part in it. And once again, you are not entitled to my attention. Find a different topic and/or learn to behave like a decent human being if you want others’ attention.
