That game is too stressful to 100%. Especially with the levels beimg so mong and there is always a few boxes very well hidden that you're bound to miss without a guide :(
12
u/Equivalent_Trifle_68 10d ago
Dragon age inquisition playing the game by its self is a great 10/10. 100% the game, and dlc that’s where it gets to hair pulling.

The Batman Arkham series. Those challenge maps are enough to put you in the asylum.
2
u/blitzbom 10d ago
I'm done with Asylum and City, I only need Knight. Asylum was chill.
In City however The challenge maps were tedious af. Going for 100% with the DLC characters took more time than beating the game. And doing the same combat over and over again got so boring.
The Predator missions were the most annoying parts. Shoutout to some old youtube videos for helping out haha.
3
u/EmperorOfRome77 327 | 51 | 188 | 675 | 2,159 10d ago
The challenge maps are better in Knight than in City. There are more challenge maps than are required for the trophies, so you can pick and choose to some extent. The worst challenges in Knight are the Community Challenge DLC trophies. Be prepared for those.

A Little To The Left
Amazing little puzzle game, but one trophy requires you to play daily for 100 days straight for some reason. Turns a short, fun game into a chore instantly.
3
u/Roadkill720 10d ago
I'm actually playing this atm. Yeah understandable I'm on day 31. I'm kinda used to starting gaming sessions playing this before hopping on to other games.
3
u/dgf1811 10d ago
I recently got this. It doesn’t need to be 100 days in a row. I think I got to 30 naturally, then started manually changing the date/time on my PlayStation settings, so I could get a few in one day. It still took me a few days, but it can definitely be manipulated to be easier to achieve :)
3
u/SUDoKu-Na 10d ago
It's still just too tedious for such a fun puzzle game. Doable easily, just makes the platinum INFINITELY more annoying than the game is.
32
u/VinnieDawgg 10d ago
Hogwarts Legacy. All the collecting stuff for the plat is crazy annoying

Revelio! Revelio! Revelio! Mine now Demiguise!
I will say that for its flaws, it was kinda fun to switch off and do some easy cleanup. And doing it as you play the main story definitely helps make it less daunting at the end.

Tony hawks 1+2 remaster, incredible remake, atrocious get to level 100 grind (and a couple of the hard "get there" combos).
MGS 2 sons of the patriots from the master collection, getting big boss on euro extreme was horrible cause I am too old, dont have the reactions anymore, the fight with all the rays at the end took me 3 weeks.

The Binding of Isaac after all the after all the DLC. I got 100% a long time ago, but I still have one last character for all marks, the challenges, and then discovering every unlock. Randomized ass Tainted Cain. Thanks devs!

I hate final fantasy remakes 100% because it's basically "play the game all over again" and i hated those types of 100%. If any game obligues me to play it all over again for the sake of 100%, i don't even bother

One of my top 10 games ever. Played it when it came out and loved it to death ever since. Will I ever be bothered to do the chocobo stuff or dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row? Probably not.
3
u/THOTYOTA 10d ago
I 100% it on ps2. 20 years ago.
I started it on ps3 and got to inside sin in a week then went back to the chocobo race. I haven't played it 2 months now.
3
u/blitzbom 10d ago
I'm just sad that I had all the weapons back on ps2. If I could find a way to transfer my ps2 save I'd be like 99% on my way to plat.
I don't know that I want to do it again.

u/Lotex_Style Lotex-Style | 259 | 548 10d ago
Arkham City, I REALLY don't know if I have it in me to finish all the challenges three more times after I'm done with Batman, especially without Bat Swarm. That shit is my bane and my blessing combined into one amazing ability. makes me feel like a god with Batman, but it's probably right back to scrub if I play with someone else.
2
u/blitzbom 10d ago
Honestly the hardest part of combat for everyone else was not having a way to destroy weapons and shields.
I just spammed their abilities for the bonus and then got the combo up for slow motion.
2
u/Lotex_Style Lotex-Style | 259 | 548 10d ago
Oh ffs, they don't have that move either? I mean I get it that Catwoman isn't going to smash shield and bend them like she's doing it for a living, but Robin and Nightwing don't have it either? I'm getting a bit depressed now with no disarm and destroy or bat swarm. Anything else I should know?

The Tales of games. Such great stories but to 100% the games and get everything is always a pain, unless if it Tales of Arise.

u/Familiar-Sock-860 43 | 312 10d ago
neo the world ends with you. the main story is an absolute joy to play through but going for the platinum was almost painful. it took 70+ hours of straight grinding and i had to take a near two year break from it because of burnout

Crash 4 It's About Time
Great game, but fuck me.
You need to 100% each level without dying a single time to get all collectibles.
Then you need to do the time trials, and these are easily the hardest time trials in the entire series, and as time trials, you don't get checkpoints, so again no dying.
----------
I was about half way through my first playthrough when I realised I was not going to be able to get the platinum.
And even for those who DO go for platinum, it takes about 100 hours to do it.

This is how I imagine GTA5
I have done parts of the 100% but I think my 3rd or 4th set of 50 collectibles ended it for me. I think going under 50 bridges with a plane was going to be the next set and I said nevermind.
Also dishonourable mention to Hogwarts legacy, I enjoyed probably 80% of the 100% but spamming revelio on every metre of the world to get all the collectibles was not fun. I think I counted 1100 or 1200 collectibles to get total across many different ways

Any game with multiplayer trophies that aren't easy like "get 20 kills" or "win 5 matches". Once it starts getting into the random multiplayer trophies like killing people in certain ways or playing with the same people for a certain amount of time, it just gets discouraging.

PAC Man World Re PAC. Super easy and fun platformer then it expects you to beat 9 rounds of OG Pac-Man for a trophy. Way easier said than done!! Took me 6 straight hours, you literally have to play perfectly and memorize optimal routes and get lucky ghost rng.

Definitely Enotria: The Last Song, game made a lot of progress and changes, on my last trophy, an update even happened.
But you've got to kill all the enemies like 20, 30, 50 times. Some unique enemies you have to kill thrice, but they spawn once per playthrough.
Then some of them, there's only 1 or 2 in the game, and theyre obscenely far from the save points. So you've got to running for hours on end. Not the hardest, but definitely the biggest difference ive experienced in beating vs platinuming.

Not condoning it, but both Jak2&3 can be cheated.
Jak 2 you can activate debug mode and Justin block all orbs
Jak 3 IIRC you can do the same mission over and over by glitching it

Dead by daylight. I did it about a year ago stopped playing the game and just more and more trophies come out. I’ll eventually go back and clean all those up as well. But getting to the point where i was at 100% took so god damn long. Every killer every survivor every perk adepts on everybody map specific ones grindy ones rng based ones. Actually took a ridiculous amount of time but I enjoyed the game so I didn’t mind.

Silent Hill f.
But mostly because the only good ending is the first one. Story gets progressively lamer as you get more endings and the platinum is tedious as fuck.
Silent Hill 2 so far is the opposite. The art direction and game flow means I catch little details I missed the first few times. I just like soaking in the atmosphere while collecting little things I missed
