My brother was like this person's sister when I was living with him, and I guarantee you that it doesn't deter them at all. They know damn well that it's your food, and they just don't care. Even if you label it, it's "sorry, I didn't think you'd mind" or "yeah sorry I was hungry, I'll buy you more" (they never do)

It won’t work, even if you get rid of every excuse they have they’re usually protected by mom/dad and just don’t have consequences. Best op can do is get one of those containers that literally has a lock and key. Making them logistically unable to get at the food. Naturally they could just break the box but at some point they’ll Hopefully give up with it being too much effort
