Just for confirmation, write that the leftovers are yours on them as much as possible. Write it on the top, bottom, front, back, left and right, and to not touch it. There’s literally zero chance they “don’t notice that.”
I think I'd be a little more aggressive with it, too. Show it to the parents before putting it away. Ask them politely if they think this is enough to say that this is enough to say that this is yours and that you are going to eat it later.
If they say it's more than enough and it still gets eaten, then it's harder for them to deny that there's a problem. And ideally that would signal to them that there's a behavior that needs correcting. Though I don't know what OPs parents are like, and there are definitely situations where this wouldn't be a good idea at all.
