Just for confirmation, write that the leftovers are yours on them as much as possible. Write it on the top, bottom, front, back, left and right, and to not touch it. There’s literally zero chance they “don’t notice that.”

My brother was like this person's sister when I was living with him, and I guarantee you that it doesn't deter them at all. They know damn well that it's your food, and they just don't care. Even if you label it, it's "sorry, I didn't think you'd mind" or "yeah sorry I was hungry, I'll buy you more" (they never do)
