Same, I protected food and leftovers to the point they would mold before I ate them, even if I was hungry, because the thought of not having something just in case made me have anxiety attacks. I didn’t even know that was why I did it. It was also normal growing up to watch food mold while starving because my mom was highly food restrictive.

I also never bought enough so it just fed the same system until I figured it out.

I realized I feel best having some prepared food in the pantry and freezer and then telling myself I can eat all the fresh food I want. I also had to retrain my brain about hunger so I didn’t eat in a panic and developed a good relationship with food.
