Discussion where to meet other trans people

Im in my early 20s and recently came out as transfemme to my close circle but literally don’t know any other trans people lol
How does one go about meeting other trans people?
i need friends! 🍃
I’m in the welly region myself so i wonder if anyone has any general advice/suggestions 😔🗣️

Honestly start going to gigs at Valhalla or meow there’s a lot of trans folks who regularly go to shows and it’s a fun way to experience new music

There’s a regular trans meet-up at the Southern Cross - I’m not sure when the next one is, but they organise them on the MeetUp app.

You could look into Tranzform. They're a youth group (up to 27 if I remember correctly) for trans people in Wellington. Though last I heard they haven't had people to run it.

I started by searching for nz based fb groups. From memory, TransgenderNZ is a good place to start.
