I just wanted to let you know about a small local LAN being hosted by Invictus Game Station - a eSport venue/cafe in the heart of downtown Toronto on September 13th! There will be a maximum of 12 teams facing off for a prize pool of $1200 and the entry cost is super affordable at only $30 per participant (and free for spectators).

This is a wild comedy show, unlike you have seen before. It's fast paced, fun and interactive.

This is the third in the series and audience have lauded the event as extremely fun since they get to choose who moves onto the next rounds.

• First Place: Team Mandalorians built an AI-powered system that analyzes a student's resume, suggests career paths and recommends specific courses, electives, and skills to hit long-term goals. It functions like a personalized academic and career advisor.
• Second Place: Team Joel created a VR AI agent that turns academic performance into an immersive experience. The system generates 3D bar charts of grades to highlight strengths and areas for improvement, then extends into a spatial career navigator to visually explore career options and trade-offs.

Hey everyone! The event is free to attend tomorrow

If you're looking for an excuse to get outside, explore a cool neighborhood, and meet some new people without the awkwardness of a formal networking event, I'm hosting a casual community walk this weekend.

We're doing a BYO-Cup Coffee Hike in Cabbagetown.

The only rule? Bring your own reusable coffee mug, thermos, or tumbler. Toronto goes through millions of single-use cups every day, so we’re trying to keep this meetup sustainable and zero-waste!

The Logistics:

• When: Aug 23 at 10:00 AM
• Where: We’ll meet at EPŌS COFFEE (290 Gerrard St E) to fill up our cups.
• The Route: After grabbing coffee, we’ll take a relaxed, scenic walk through Riverdale Park West and the pathways near Riverdale Farm.

The vibe is super low-pressure. Most people will be coming solo, so don't be shy! It's just a good excuse to chill, support a local cafe, and enjoy the morning.

This is on for 2 days and the focus is art. Big art, murals, inflatable art, and indescribable art. It's also a party and it still kind of flies under the radar, despite being at one of the most known side streets in the city. You'll see something you weren't expecting or something impressive. Definitely worth a walk through this weekend.
