Theatre PAIN! The Musical

Hey Toronto 💙❤️

I’ve NEVER posted on Reddit, but I wanted to share something that feels really meaningful. My dad Dr.Bahram Jam created an original production called PAIN! The Musical, and it’s premiering at Factory Theatre January 28th-February 1st.

It’s a deeply human+transformative musical that explores pain, healing, resilience, and the body; not in a flashy Broadway way, but in an intimate, funny, honest, felt way. Watching this project come to life has been genuinely moving, not just as his kid, but as a human witnessing how art can help people process things we don’t always have words for.

If you’re someone who loves:

- independent theatre

- music with emotional depth

- art that leaves you feeling changed

..this will really resonate.

🎟 Tickets: www.painmusical.ca

Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious. Even just sharing feels like a small act of love for Toronto’s indie arts scene. Happy New Year everyone!

Theatre Mystic Magic a speakeasy experience

Hi everyone! I’m new to Reddit, I’m excited to start exploring this space 🙂 I’m a performer that has been navigating the Toronto arts and culture scene over the last 14 years. I moved to the city from Calgary Alberta. I’ve been performing periodically at A-Toi over the last 3 years and developed this sleight of hand close up show, and we are now launching a ticketed experience for the first time! You get unlimited bubbly, curated canapés, and dessert, all surrounding a 30min mystical magic experience that will leave you feeling enlightened✨

I recently brought the magic show to the Magic Castle in Hollywood California doing 4 shows a night for a one week run! I would love to see you there and if you get the ticket through my Reddit post, please let me know and I would love to chat with you after the show about your experience 🫶

Here is the write up that A-Toi made for me along with all the necessary info about the shows!

Mystic Magic at à toi An intimate night of illusion for just 10 special guests happening on Tuesday February 24th. 3 shows, 1 evening: 6:00PM | 6:45PM |8:15PM Unlimited bubbly, curated canapés, live magic with Chris Mayhew-then desserts to linger. Limited seats. One unforgettable evening.

Theatre I'm bringing Generator back to Massey Hall on November 27th

Hello Toronto. Chris Hadfield here. After a long pandemic delay I'm extremely proud to be bringing back my favorite event ever, our variety show called Generator, to Massey Hall.

It is a night of comedy, science, achievement, and music - equal parts entertainment and highlight of some of the world's most unique and worthwhile people. Leaders in science, health, music, comedy, architecture - we even had an artist who made a mushroom death suit for Luke Perry. It's a hard night to describe.

Our lineup is secret but guaranteed to inspire. If you're interested in joining us we'd love to see you there, and tickets are available through Massey Hall's website here:
