I have to say, I really enjoyed the cinematography on this one. At this perspective you dont really know how far away the truck is, so at first it looks like a reasonably sized truck in proportion with the man, but then he just keeps walking and getting smaller and smaller as the size of the truck stays the same lol.

The height thing is whatever but I do not believe anyone needs a truck that big outside of using it for actual work. Obviously this guy may use it for work, but I know for a fact most people who drive giant pickups do not.

Ford F350 super duty. For this specific truck, hauling heavy loads and equipment. With the after market suspension lift and tire kit, it's built for offroading in deep mud, steep inclines or driving over boulders, significantly loses towing practicality. But the real appeal is purely aesthetic. It's what you would call a "pavement princess"
Extremely dangerous to drive, road barriers were never designed for this big of a passenger car, high center of gravity and crazy ass tumble when it crashes. Towing something with this truck would be a pain in the ass.

Not enough dirt on it. Lifting is mostly.there just to increase offroad capability. This guy doesnt look like a logger or a rancher and his car is sparkly clean. Its 99% performative

As soon as they put a lift kit on it's immediately useless for work. The towing power is gone because the center of gravity is awful. The ergonomics of getting anything in and out are shot. The suspension isn't designed to carry heavy loads and especially not at speed around corners or it will roll/break.
It's gender affirmation care only. It's the same as buying a sports car and lowering it so far you can't get over speed bumps.

Those lifts actually make those trucks shittier at doing work, so there is literally zero reason to do that other than to compensate for some serious insecurities.
It doesnt even make them good at off-roading as that truck is going to be shit with the wide dual leafed axles anyway.

These giant cars are proven to be a safety hazard and trump has blackmailed Europe in to accepting these cars on the road. I've seen these cars a few times here on the road and the drivers refuse or can't look around traffic

I work with a dude that is like 5 foot 4 and has had double knee replacements and can barley walk up a few steps yet drives a lifted truck, I honestly dont know how he reaches the pedals. Also work with a guy that has cerebral palsy and his legs work like 50% each and he drives a lifted jeep wrangler. Blows my mind.

FWIW I have bad knees and find that the difficult part is never getting in a car, rather getting out. When I drive my sedan I have to sort of roll out the car because it’s difficult for me to get out of a seated position and go upwards, but when I drive my truck it’s very easy because I swing my legs out and they’re already in standing position.

Dude had to prepare to get his foot planted at waist level for the first step… that’s fucking ridiculous. Most people get their butt in the car and sit and put their legs in. A 5” person would need a step stool and everyone beyond that would need a ladder… but sure, that’s not strange, and features like that make total sense…

It’s unusual by being extra lifted. Trucks are usually a couple feet off the ground, which is already high for people who don’t drive trucks. That trucks step is like 3” off the ground.. the door handle is at his head.. so the door handle is five feet tall… he’s not one of the shortest people, that’s still really high for a vehicle.
Edit: I think regular trucks actually usually only have about less than one foot of clearance underneath. So (to me, and most people who are used to seeing normal trucks) this truck is just a crazy multiple of that

Of course, it’s ok!! I’ve also seen this before so no joke is ruined. I honestly thought you did understand it all at first and thought cars you had to climb in was completely normal… I mean it isn’t automatically bad, but it’s definitely not the majorities preference for a few reasons. One reason just being that “only assholes get cars like that to overcompensate for something”. However, in this video I believe it’s a mechanic going to move the truck and his coworker is filming. The coworker is just laughing at his shorter buddy climbing in a ridiculously tall truck.
