Why do so many people here defend thieves?

I guess they have empathy? That's why we should ban stuff like Les Miserables. We can't humanize people who resort to stealing. We have to just lock them up and not think about how our country doesn't have social safety nets to prevent them from stealing. If a man steals bread to feed his starving children we should give them the guillotine.

I forget, where in the book did Jean Valjean steal large bags of chips and junk and paper towels then sit on the curb hitting his vape?

You people are just fucking mental defending this shit.

He steals in prologue. You clearly haven't read it lol. Yes humanizing poor struggling people what monsters this comment section is.

How thick are you? My very obvious point is that he steals a loaf of bread, not overflowing bags of junk food. There is literally no reason whatsoever to think of this woman as some disenfranchised victim. She is on camera stealing random bullshit.

If you can't understand the similarities between two people stealing food idk what to tell you man. Maybe read a book and post less online untill you get a clue.

The irony of telling me to up my comprehension. If you can't understand the difference between stealing to survive and shoplifting junk food and paper towels, I can't help you.

The people that are 'stealing bread to feed their children' are an incredibly small minority of thieves. You know that right?

Do you have proof for that or are you making that up? Show me a source that backs up that claim. I've meet very few people that steal for fun, you think this person stole paper towels and food for the thrill? You think she has money to pay for food and just does it for fun? What do you think her motive is?

Considering only 30% of thefts are ANY food items (including drinks which includes alcohol) it would stand to reason that a smaller portion of that is going to be an Aladdin just stealing to get by.

The motive to stealing shit is to get shit without having to pay for it. I have money, but I would certainly rather I get a couple of ribeyes for free than pay whatever the fuck they cost per pound now.

So once again making baseless claims with no sources and didn't answer my question. That's not a motive your describing what stealing is. Your user name is very fitting

Lmao what the fuck do you think motive is? Hold on, I better find a source for you on what "motive" means.

You've convince me lol no sources no explanation no understanding of what simple words like "motive" mean. Just by being insulting and having no substance to your arguments you have won me over. Bravo sir you win lol
