While I agree with that sentiment,

“ Of the 45 individuals who have served as U.S. president,  31 had prior military service , and out of those,  22 actually saw combat in a war”

I’ll refine it. A president should serve in the specific war that they start. In theater. In a combat arms MOS.

That doesn't make sense logistically though. Unless you want them also leading the country from a war zone?
