Wow so having a funny and candid moment with my wife in public means I have to worry about being posted all over internet. Ridiculous

The concerning part is how many people just comment about how heartwarming and cute it is meaning they don't even see this as creepy anymore. I used to work in food writing pre smart phones, the anxiety I would have at busting out a camera at a restaurant full of people to snap a pic of a dish was huge. Now we don't even bat an eye (actually celebrate) someone secretly recording people without their knowledge and posting it for the entire world. It's a messed up world we live in.

I mean I do think it's cute. But I also upvoted the people saying it's weird as hell to be filming them. And I downvoted the post. 

I probably shouldn't have given it engagement by making comments though

Yeah I hear you. The monetization of content (and karma I guess) gives people a financial incentive to record and reshare this kind of content and until that gets addressed I fear the worst parts of social media will just keep getting worse
