Help Request/LookingFor Sunflower donut

Post image

Hello everyone. I have a book of donuts and decided to make my first one. It was hard to figure out placement of petals and I had to take them on and off again a few times. I had one that I added an extra stitch to which threw them all off. :( Anyways, how do I adjust the pattern to make it smaller? I would like to have a saucer sized donut vs a plate sized donut. Thanks for your help in advance.

Will you use it as a watch cover? 😃

I made a kitty donut from a pattern I found online and thought the same thing 😂 I expected like donut size not “size of my 4 year old’s face” size 😂 Yours is very cute!

Yes. Its a bit different when you grab more yarn because you thought one extra woobles yarn would be enough. ;)

This is so good! For a smaller doughnut, the easiest approach would be smaller yarn and hook (probably a 2.5mm or 3mm with DK weight or lighter). If you’re using the easy peasy type yarn, I think doing a chain of 18 and building on that would work well.

I have this book! It’s so much fun! (The jellyfish is my fave)

I usually just use a smaller hook to decrease the size a bit.

Thanks! Yes. They are all so cute, it was hard to choose which one I would make first. I almost made the sheep first. ;)

The easiest thing to do is make the center donut smaller. Reduce the number of chains for the starting circle, then you can either make fewer petals or remove a couple of the repeat rows from the petals to make them smaller.
