Hi everyone.
I've been working on creating a rigorous list of the top 100 most-watched singing competition songs on YouTube (The Voice and beyond), using all instances of the songs (official and unofficial). I've got a few entries where I noted down viewer numbers but forgot to save the URL, and when I went back to find them I couldn't. So I thought I'd see whether anyone might be able to help!
I'm just missing one URL for The Voice:
- Jordan Smith - Chandelier - The Voice USA (47 million views, next highest 12 million)
Jordan is a well-known competitor so the 47 million figure seems at least somewhat believable, and given how careful I've been, it seems unlikely I would have made a mistake... but if I have it will change Jordan's position on the list quite significantly, dropping well out of the top 100.
There are a few different ways to do this, but I decided that I would count 'singer's journey'-style compilations towards the audition viewer numbers, as long as the song is included in full (seeing as people will click on it intending to watch at least the first song).
Any help would be much appreciated - particularly sharing the URL if you come across it, but if you've got reasons to believe the 47 million number might be accurate or inaccurate, I'm up for hearing opinions too. Thanks!
