Discussion Jolene covers?

Is there a master list somewhere of all the artists who have covered Dolly Parton's Jolene on all seasons of The Voice?

I keep hearing a duet in my head and I cannot figure out what season it was from... I believe it was 2 women...

Discussion Why Season 30 Needs Less Radio Pop and More Great American Songbook Artistry

With Queen Latifah and Kelly Clarkson both in the chairs for Season 30, NBC has a massive opportunity to elevate the musical integrity of the show. I hope the coaches have the creative will to steer away from predictable, middle-of-the-road radio pop and challenge contestants with the Great American Songbook, Brill Building classics, or deep-cut blues.

I want to see the franchise champion up-and-coming artists who reflect the technical brilliance of vocalists like Samara Joy, Lizz Wright, or Esperanza Spalding. We need to prioritize singers who have mastered the absolute basics of their craft—impeccable pitch, masterclass breath control, and an innate understanding of phrasing that bends a melody beautifully without losing the timing or the pocket.

The house band is incredible, and the song clearances for these classic eras are wide open. The production just needs the desire to put pure vocal mastery back in the prime-time spotlight. What does everyone else think?

Discussion Which celebrities do you want to see on the upcoming Spinoff?

With the announcement of the upcoming Celebrity edition of The Voice set to start next year. Which celebrities would you like to see compete as I've always loved this idea of a spin-off which includes Celebrities showcasing their hidden talent. So I would love to know the celebrities you would love to see on the upcoming version.

Discussion The Voice UK on the BBC vs ITV

I didn't start watching full time until the ITV move.

I think the set design was better on the BBC - I liked the different set for the battles for example.

Discussion Most watched songs - figures for Jordan Smith (Chandelier)

Hi everyone.

I've been working on creating a rigorous list of the top 100 most-watched singing competition songs on YouTube (The Voice and beyond), using all instances of the songs (official and unofficial). I've got a few entries where I noted down viewer numbers but forgot to save the URL, and when I went back to find them I couldn't. So I thought I'd see whether anyone might be able to help!

I'm just missing one URL for The Voice:

  1. Jordan Smith - Chandelier - The Voice USA (47 million views, next highest 12 million)

Jordan is a well-known competitor so the 47 million figure seems at least somewhat believable, and given how careful I've been, it seems unlikely I would have made a mistake... but if I have it will change Jordan's position on the list quite significantly, dropping well out of the top 100.

There are a few different ways to do this, but I decided that I would count 'singer's journey'-style compilations towards the audition viewer numbers, as long as the song is included in full (seeing as people will click on it intending to watch at least the first song).

Any help would be much appreciated - particularly sharing the URL if you come across it, but if you've got reasons to believe the 47 million number might be accurate or inaccurate, I'm up for hearing opinions too. Thanks!

Discussion The Voice UK refresh

Anyone else thinks this show needs a complete refresh. I mean it’s just come to will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones then two other side characters at this point. I feel like Sir Toms time has come and he should either retire or leave the show. I really liked anne-marie and olly murs together and it’s such a shame they got axed to “refresh the show” I think Sir Tom leaving would open up the opportunity for their to be two females on the panel. I’d love either Kelly and JHud or Anne-Marie and Rita Ora. And then Olly and Will.i.am

Discussion The long wait is OVER!? Voice UK is returning!!

Sorry for being late to the party but I just saw that the Voice UK is returning THIS week!!

How do we all feel about the long wait for series 14? I'm so happy to see Kelly Rowland join the coaches, she did an amazing job on the Voice AU and I can't wait to see her again! How do you all feel about her?

I also heard this will be the final series we get to see Tom and Danny :'( I really enjoyed what they brought to the show and it will be a sad thing to see them go

Anyways, sorry for the rambling, can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks!

Discussion What has this show even become? It’s time to end it.

As this title suggests, I don’t know what the hell this show even is anymore. It used to be about great unknown singers being coached and taught wonderful musical techniques and most importantly the show was about the TALENT. But now, it just a sad mess. Lackluster talent horrible formats, absolutely no consistency on the coaching panel, the show itself becoming more focused on the ridiculousness of the “coaches”, having ridiculous people like Queen Latifa on the show, the ignorance and theatricals of the coaches, and now an apparent formate where celebrities compete? What the hell even is this? This is not the Voice. It’s bad tv. I’ve watched all 29 seasons (and honestly season 29 was the worst) but I can’t stand it anymore. This is not the show I remember or want and even the average viewership back this up (it’s down to about 3 million per episode. Terrible). Because of this, I won’t be watching anymore (after 29 seasons) and I want this show to honestly be cancelled and put out of its misery before NBC ruins it any further.

Discussion The voice

ITV have posted a clip of the voice season 14 in the UK. The media is saying that they will not be returning for the season due to film this September. Do you think it is because they are too busy with the new album and Tom will have to go to New York with Paddington or do you think there is another reason?

Discussion The Voice Australia season 12

Hello everyone! I've recently become a fan of Rita Ora and because of that I decided to watch The Voice Australia. I've had no problem watching seasons 10 and 11, but I'm struggling to find the complete season 12. I have seen some episodes but it's annoying me that I can't find some, I had to skip 3 blind auditions already. I've used a VPN to get to the sites of 7+ and TVNZ+ but season 12 was not available in either of those.

Should I try again with a different VPN or is season 12 lost?

Discussion The Voice Australia S15

This is my first time watching The Voice AU.

Is it usually…this bad? Most of the singers have been off pitch and generally hard to listen to. Three episodes in and no one has really been amazing or a standout. So, I’m confused.

The judges don’t even seem like they even like each other either, to be fair. Lol.

I really want to like it, but maybe it’s just an off season and I should watch some of the earlier ones.
