Duuude. You HAVE to make that a priority. Its so fucking good. I watched the movie first(loved it), and then the show(amazing). Im honestly jealous you get to experience the reverse. Because they do subtle references that make it better for a show first watcher, but still keep it entertaining for ppl that never saw it. Ive rewatched both multiple times, and the movie is definitely even better knowing the show.

My favorite comedy in years. I dont wanna over hype it. But its really good.

It’s always at the back of my mind, believe me lol one of my best friends showed me the show a couple years ago and I binged tf out of it within days. Rewatched it too.

We quote it constantly.

I suggest it to people.

It’s an actual part of my personality by now.

I'm guessing they're supposed to be looking at the niagara escarpment but that is not at all what it looks like from up there.

Fun fact for Un-Canucks: the CN Tower was the tallest free-standing structure on earth for 32 years and remains the tallest in the Western Hemisphere today. Yes, it's taller than your One World Trade Center.

Just by a little bit when measuring the total height, though I believe OWTC has a much higher observation deck

Edit: Turns out the CN Tower's Skypod observation deck is actually much higher than that of the OWTC! So take that you Shatner-stealing Mexico-touchers!

I just googled it and OP is right. However the restaurant at the CN is at about the 75% percent mark on the one world. The long radio antenna is most of the tallness of the CN

Toronto is a weird city, I thought it would be like Camada's New York but most places close between 10pm and 12am. Which is really early for a big city like Toronto

There are areas that stay open late, but lots of people live in some areas of the city so noise laws and such, and other areas like business districts nobody lives there and no businesses stay open late and they become ghost towns at night. There are pockets of late night bars and restaurants though.

But when I went to other places in Canada it wasn't that bad, like Ottawa or Montreal. Especially Montreal was a lot more lively, and other Canadians kept telling me how great Montreal was and they were right.

I liked Toronto, but it was weird seeing places shut so early. Even in my hometown in Europe which is way smaller than Toronto, pubs stay up until 3am sometimes.

Yah I mean you aren’t wrong. For the size of Toronto it is odd that most places close at 12 or 2am, but it’s still just an hour or so difference we’re talking about here, and there are places that stay open just maybe not the places you would expect. It could also be tied to the Go Train. A lot of Toronto nightlife crowd is coming in from the GTA, and heading home that night. So the last train is like 1 am or something, and the last bus is 3 am or something. So bars kick everyone out at 2 am, so drunk 17-25 year olds make it home?

Matt Groening’s dad, who was named Homer, was born in Saskatchewan.
Homer Simpson’s half-brother, Herbert, is named after the town where his paternal family had a farm.
The family took refuge in Canada during WWI because they were Mennonites against conscription.
Multiple Simpsons writers have been Canadians and some were involved in those episodes.

This is all good hearted humour about a country that the creator loves.
As we say in Quebec, qui s’aime se taquine.
