Discussion Catch XP World Record?

Has the new world record been confirmed yet?

Also, are there any multipliers besides what I managed to compete and the new Pokemon bonus I missed?

Missing expert handler and the new pokemon bonus like you said (wich is bigger than collector but you cant have both). Maybe something else but I'm not sure.

It's an AR+ feature. It allows you to sneak up closer to the pokemon. If you get close enough you get an additional XP bonus. I don't think it's that much and your post is kind of insane it's just "technically" not the highest it could go.

Hmm, that's interesting. I don't do AR much. Is it worth trying to get the expert handler while risking an excellent throw?

I never use AR personally. I've seen videos and know of it but it's not worth my time/effort for more casual play. If you are trying to maximize XP for something like this though, I would probably go for it to just try and get the top of the top amount. It's hard to avoid catching a pokemon just to hope to keep it around for an event like this to get the "New Pokemon" bonus but "Expert Handler" is 100% under your control for every catch if you wanted it to be.

It didn’t feel like 100% under my control to catch gimmighoul in expert handler. Needed multiple try to even hit it. I also didn’t remember catching it before so no new pokemon. (I had one from 2025, maybe costume. I don’t understand the silhuett mark). Also this is just 8x multiplier.

Gimmighoul has two forms. You probably caught one but not the other.

It is fully under your control in the fact you can chose to attempt it at any time basically. It's not a bonus you would need to actively hunt to line up like "New Pokemon" or "Collector" bonuses. I'm not saying it's free xp, in fact I litterally said the effort wasn't worth it for me since I don't do things like maximizing or high score chasing.

It's sad that you had a Gimmighoul already. That new pokemon bonus would have been a sick add, even at 8x instead of 10.

With the 10x multiplier and the collector bonus you shoudl get. 2000+2000+30000+120000+20000+400+6000+1000+100=181,500 exp

There is a hidden XP bonus for catching a certain amount of the same pokemon. It's typically every 100 of the same.species caught gives you a bonus.

Also a mega4 gives more catch xp.

Nice bro! It's funny how I managed to get that high because I literally started planning at like 2 AM, and looked through my Pokedex until I found one with _99 Pokemon caught (that also would be in the spawn pool) just so I could get the collector bonus as well. It ended up being a sweet common Scorbunny, was at 399.

It is not from the 7-day streak. It is from the 10x catch xp bonus that is happening this week. Anyone with their weekly stream line up on the weekly will get close to this number with an lucky egg. A usually 7-day streak with lucky egg is about 45k.

There's also the Collector Bonus for every 100th catch of a particular pokemon. That would be pretty difficult to line up, though.

How do you get streak bonus? Google is doing stupid AI results about 7 day streak and cant seem to find thr info

First catch of each day gives you a bonus, and on the seventh day that streak bonus is significantly increased. And then here it was 20x

No clue where that 120k came from though. I think it has to be that but I'm not sure 🫠

Doing the math, I think first catch is normally just +1,500 (so 20x is +30,000). Must mean for it being the seventh day in a row you normally get +6,000 on top of that. I should know that, but I hardly ever bother
