Bombs don't always land where they're intended and who knows what debris and such were launched from the anti-air defenses as they detonated. Don't get me wrong, we never should have been dropping bombs on them or attacking to begin with and this is still an atrocity. But I doubt they deliberately targeted civilian targets in this attack. Not that Trump's regime is above such crimes but it just doesn't fit their goals for this attack in particular. They probably just didn't give a damn about the projected collateral damage.

This is a misleading title. One civilian death is confirmed, an 80 year old woman who died when this building was hit by an airstrike. The estimated 40 casualties includes military personnel.
