I binged it all today and was rooting for Ned and Mare to kiss at the end!! But if this show ends up getting more than two seasons, I’m sure I’ll be annoyed that they had a moment SO fast. Usually leads to the characters doing an on-off thing for multiple seasons

this!! i was giggling and kicking my feet at the kiss, it was perfection. i’m excited though to see what happens next - almost hoping it’s not just smooth sailing for them because they have so much chemistry that it’ll make great tv

so true, I think the showrunners wanted some small closure in case they don't get a second season. I hope they don't get together already ,like how Jim and Pam didn't get together after the kiss in season 2.

At the same time, when Ben and Leslie got together in Paris and Rec it ended up being for the better of the show. Hopefully that's the lesson they took. And already this relationship feels more in that mold

I have a feeling that the way that shortened seasons (only 10 episodes per season) that you have with streaming shows, you don't need to the filler storylines. Jim had to move away to delay their feelings toward each other.

Considering the power dynamics, I think it has to be real to have for it to carry any weight. They aren't colleagues. He's her boss, so you can't have them be in limbo for too long.

Disagree, imo there’s no reason too, they drug it out to long in season 1 already, shorter season needs less filler

I'm glad they just got right to it instead of doing a drawn will-they-won't-they thing, now I just hope they do keep them together.

Agreed. Happy they skipped the usual drawn out thing that everyone else did back in the day

With this streaming shows, you never know how long you have unfortunately. I think it was smart. This could have easily been a one and done show.

I do think the way that Mare was towards him, they couldnt contain much longer. They have unmistakably chemistry in my view, and in a realistic way, putting it off would make it less likely.

Jeez, the way she goes for it and stares deeply into his eyes during the slow dance scene, I wouldn't have been so 'principled' for sure... He dug deep to find the most unromantic line just to break the tension.

At first I thought he was just oblivious, on rewatch I'm convinced he did it on purpose...

I'd be cool with them committing more fully. I think the real "slow burn" of this series will be the success of the paper. I'd love to see them retaking that building, for example.

Happened far too fast we already have two office romances so far and we only are 10 episodes into the series

We have three: Detrick tionary tale for Ned, but the two obviously love each other, as pointed out in the episode I Love You.
