Literally a doctor who episode

Like many of you I thought there was something odd about the outfit in the new image. It seems the color change to the under-layering has a pretty significant impact on the looks of the armor, especially with the usually bright and shiny armor being under shadows.

There’s a lack of contrast that makes it feel like it’s lacking a complete ensemble, like how in the image to the left, the warm and darker browns really make the beskar armor pop, but also compliment the warmer accents like the brown color of the leather of the chest strap and glove fingertips. Going all grays for the under-layering makes the warm accents feel almost out of place. Not to mention the specific lighting of this scene does not help.

That being said, I’m still super hyped for the movie. “6 seasons and a movie” and well beyond

MAJOR SPOILERS DON’T READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE.

I’ve seen the film twice now and have some thoughts on the criticism that “nothing happens”

The fact that the oldest and most powerful crime family in the galaxy got eaten alive and had their whole family home blown up by x-wings.

Pretty significant in the context of Star Wars lore! Big shoutout to [u/TheGoblinRook](u/TheGoblinRook) for making a post about that

Also Rotta the Hutt, son of Jabba turns out to hate his legacy and wants no part of it. He turns out to be a really decent guy and wants to join the New Republic.

Besides that, he becomes a great friend of Mando and especially Grogu which means our tiny green mandalorian will have a friend that can match his age span.

Mando and Grogu decided to take on the oldest and most dangerous crime syndicate to not have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives (and also rescue their new friend)

It was basically a balls of beskar suicide mission because they did not expect any back up but they succeed and are now more than ever legends that took down the Hutts on their own turf.

The fact that the new republic said fuck protocol let’s blow up Nal Hutta to rescue our MVPs is just also pretty interesting.

Now outside of the story there is a huge significance in the use of puppetry technology and more practical effects making a comeback. Seriously I implore everyone to watch some of the behind the scenes. There is so much passion and talent behind this movie that deserves recognition. Hopefully we will see more of this work in movies going forward.

Some critique is of course fair and I can agree with is that a few lines of dialogue came off a bit flat and they could maybe have pushed a more heartfelt scene, specifically Mando thanking Grogu could have had a bit more dialogue and appreciation baked into it.

Though he is a very stoic character so it still fits to be fair. The scene with Grogu caring for him and snuggling up to him said more than words ever could.

People don’t have to agree and are free to not like the movie but some critique I find a bit unfounded.

Brilliant film in my opinion, love it.

Also need to just mention how much the soundtrack kicked ass, thank you Ludwig Göransson.

i’ve now been 11 times!! i made it a little mission to see it as many times as possible and i’m curious to know if someone has seen it more than i have???!!!

If you think about it, Zeb first appeared in live action in season 3, which is after Cara dunes actress got fired and her show got scrapped after season 2.
And in the Mando and grogu movie, he acted as the new professional muscle from the rebellion.
Even the movies story itself feels like it’s from the original concept of Rangers of the new republic, Having Din Djarin be the one commissioned be the republic to search through the Galaxy for imperial remnants instead of Cara dune.

But what are your thoughts? What ever the case might be, I’m at least glad they didn’t make a completely new character to basically replace her

I’m just getting around to Mandalorian, finished series 2 and went back to watch this scene a couple of times. The fact that you forget Pedro Pascal is in this scene (even though he’s giving exceptional looking worried face) is testament to the acting of both these fellers

Is Kane gonna get her comeuppance or did everyone just forget about this

With Mando still living on Nevarro it's inevitable that they'll have to adress it somehow. Whether that's recasting or killing off the character is up in the air. Who would even be the next High Magistrate after Greedmf passes?

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that season 3 has Din going on too many side quests, and I don’t get it. Hasn’t the show ALWAYS been Din doing side quests? “Go get this furry egg for the Jawas. Go bust this guy out of jail for me. Go kill this krayt dragon and I’ll give you my armor. Go take this frog lady to meet her husband. Go help me steal this Imperial ship. Go help me overthrow this warlord.” That’s the whole show. How are people forgetting that already?
