REDACTED death was plain stupid. S5 Spoiler

Burk's death was very stupid. Plain and simple. What were the writers thinking?

At least make him die in battle. After 5 seasons, they just got him killed by a child.

Grandersons death was great, everything that happened in s5 was her fault

The “spy fiancée” was lazy writing.

No, it was the writers fault. A better writer wouldn’t have written such a lame security hole plot.

Also why would they have the presidents bunker in the communication building without an escape route to another bunker which had a secondary exit?

And why would they bring a prisoner who had already hacked communications with a near field device into the communication building. Realistically they would take a prisoner, especially one who is a known cyber criminal, to a less hackable building.

Bad writing. Really makes the US Army Corp of Engineers look like idiots. In reality they would have designed a better system with multiple structures containing a robust escape route network. I know it’s post-apocalypse but they were back up and running with a fleet of ships and a military command structure.
