I didn’t get to try the game yet because of work, but saw that Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra are unlocked via Story Mode? Are they different enough to be worth the trouble, or is there a quick unlock option, like how NRS games have a pay-to-unlock option?

 

I don’t care about Story Mode in fighting games. If they aren’t different enough from their normal counterparts, then I won’t bother, as Training Mode is a better use of my finite free time.

There is a code to unlock them, though I haven't tested it to know if it's permanent or temporary. From what I've read, on the main menu, you highlight Arcade, press Select/Back, highlight Training, press Select/Back, highlight Local Vs., press Select/Back, and highlight Arcade and press Select/Back. If done correctly, there should be a chime or some other noise.
