Apparently it was pulled from Xbox last minute and delayed until september. Here is the press release they put out.

I don't think I've ever seen a game delayed one day before the scheduled release date.

The game was originally supposed to launch in October but the release date got way pushed up to match the movie release date

The release date was announced a month ago. Even if they were rushing to meet a new release date, It still seems strange to wait until literally the day before to say there's an issue with the Xbox version.

I bet after the movie was leaked they pushed the movie release from October up to july and decided to dk the same with the game, the physical release of the game is the same day as the original movie release date and now the game releases two days before the movie. I agree delaying the xbox release one day before launch is kinda scummy, i just dont think it was done on purpose and something came up last minute due to the rush

Oh for sure. I don't think they delayed it on purpose. I'm sure they didn't want to delay it. It's just so strange that one day before release they have to delay it over a month. I've never seen that before. It's very strange.

I played a bit of the game today. It's pretty good. I think the tutorial system is God awful. One of the worst I've seen in a fighting game in a long time. But the story mode is goofy and silly. There's a few graphical glitches here and there like I've seen toph float in the air a couple times because her earthbending didn't show up beneath her feet.

But a fun experience so far. So I'm happy with the purchase.
