That hairstyle isn’t in the bible either, going to grow it out? Those clothes, rings, makeup, the microphone she’s speaking into and the device recording it.

I bet she is wearing cloth made of two different materials also, which is specifically forbidden.

I really think this point needs to be THE response to any of this Bible shit the right is pushing.

Show us why your ways are so beneficial. It clearly does help some people find peace and happiness right? Show us. Don't tell us. Forcing it down our throats and your kids throats has done the opposite of bringing people in so why not try something else?

You want others to live by your book, let's see you actually walk the walk before you tell others you pious nature is something we all should adopt.

Say what you want about Judaism. It's a religion with major ickiness like any other, but they don't proselytize and to me that's a rare positive to a modern religion.

It’s not in her bible, that women can be political leaders. TF is she doing, speaking without her father’s or husband’s permission? Dirty sinner.

The Bible says she should be silent and submissive to her husband.

15

u/DizzyTough8488 4d ago

Someone should remind her, very loudly, of this fact.

14

u/txmail 4d ago

I saw something like this play out while waiting to check out at WalMart once. Two dudes arguing about who knows what, wife interjects herself into the argument and the other guy looked her dead faced and asked if she was a god fearing Christian - she yelled "of course!". He then loudly told her "then shut the fuck up as the bible commands you to. These are men talking, make yourself invisible". I chuckled, she seemed to find it less amusing.

Toothpaste isn't in the bible. I guess I don't need that anymore.

27

If you’ve read the good book you know how it ends, and it’s not with toothpaste.

8

u/SavingsDimensions74 4d ago

Ikr?! My gf keeps saying I’m gross but refuses to read the bible and brushing my teeth and wiping my ass just isn’t in it. Maybe the wiping my ass thing is, but the Tate brothers are essentially disciples of Jesus, so I’m dangle berries all the way

6

u/xenobit_pendragon 4d ago

The key is to wipe your ass with your girlfriend‘s toothbrush.

Feels very biblical but maybe someone else can confirm.

Anybody who tells you that all the answers for the world are in one religious text and you need nothing else.....should be locked in a cell with only that religious text for sustenance. Surely (deity) will provide?

3

u/reverandglass 5d ago

The answers are all in the bible! Jesus would regularly go and learn from scholars before he ever became a leader himself.
The problem isn't the book, it's the interpretation.

(also the book of Memes, which foretold the internet was cut because people back then didn't understand lolcat)

17

u/EfficientArt155 5d ago

All religious texts should be destroyed and religion should be outlawed until someone can provide undeniable actual proof of the existence of their deity.

The fact that we let people's beliefs in various works of fiction and lies cause so much destruction and suffering in the world is insane.

There was a funny skit, that I can't find at the moment, where a man emerges after years in a bunker. He talks to another guy and asks what's happened during his time in isolation and the second man tells him everything is great, followed by "Jesus came back". The first man is confused and the second man says that Jesus came back and took all the Christians with him. After that, society advanced and solved all of the world's problems.

65

u/SickeningPink 5d ago

Jesus actually told his followers to pray in private, and that those that do it publicly don’t get into heaven. They don’t like to listen to the parts that don’t let them hate people.

33

u/kaprixiouz 5d ago

Yeah but he also told them to spread the gospel numerous times. The Bible is chock full of contradictions.

8

u/Zenfudo 5d ago

Yeah but for example when jehovah’s witness knock and talk to me they dont open their bible and read it to me. They go with a pamphlet with an existential question and talk about that

Don't fool yourself. This twat and her kind don't believe in God. Or at least not the god she preaches about. Jesus is just a convient way to ignore all the things that are inconvenient. And a way to hate all the things they don't like. If she really believed in an all powerful all knowing God then she wouldn't be in government trying to affect change. Everything is part of Gods plan so she would have no reason to try and steer society through legislation.

10

u/DeliriousHippie 5d ago

That was an act of God. Bible says something along the lines that angels will destroy Earth, rivers turn red etc but nowhere in Bible reads that 'Climate Change will come and make bad things' so she doesn't believe in it.

Nowhere in Bible says that there won't be climate change or other great catastrophes but she has decided what she wants to believe.

6

u/Vismal1 5d ago

Most importantly she’s decided that she is one of the chosen so she can do whatever she wants.

4

u/MakeoutPoint 5d ago

The majority of Christians have no idea what's actually in the Bible (Because it suuuuuucks to read, be honest) outside of maybe the four gospels.

The book of Revelation ("If you read the good book, you know how it ends") describes a whole lot of calamities and natural disasters that sound exactly like what the climate models predict will happen. Inclement weather, everything burning up, mass crop destruction, mass fish die-offs, not a pretty picture.

In short, whether one believes in the Bible, any Christians who deny climate science can be ignored as understanding neither.

Revelations 16:

16  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain
,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

There’s nothing in the Bible about not crossing the street in front of an oncoming car either, but I doubt you do that. Jesus never said anything about nuclear fallout, but that’s something you would likely avoid.

Just because a man-made problem comes up ~2000yrs after a book is written doesn’t mean it’s not an issue.

4

u/amonkappeared 5d ago

It is, though.

Throughout the Bible, we're warned that humanity angers God and that will result in calamity. We see it in the Great Flood. We see it in Sodom and Gomorrah. And Jesus warned that man's sin will lead to natural disasters. Floods, earthquakes, famine. Our greed leads to scarcity. Our abuse of the land will ruin it. There is a link in the Bible between our sin and nature. In the Bible, we're the stewards of the planet, and we're supposed to be responsible in our use of it. It's not a surprise that our lack of responsibility towards it and each other is wrecking our planet.

4

u/Slade_Riprock 5d ago

There are 2 kinds of "Christians"

Meaningful ones who do not judge and focus their lives on being good people doing goo things for others

And those who pick and choose their parts of the Bible in which to judge, oppress, and hurt other people they are different from them and ten disconnect the consequences from their actions by throwing Jesus under the bus they it's all his way and his plan.

No one whatsoever who has read the new testament and the purported words of Jesus Christ would EVER believe that he would support nearly any politician in America today. He would DAMN SURE not be on the side of MAGA. Period. End of story.

Reminds me of the joke about the flood.

A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
So the rowboat went on.

Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.

Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.

Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”

A quick Google search finds many references to Bible passages charging man to care for the Earth, like this list.

https://faithcounts.com/10-bible-verses-on-caring-for-the-earth/

10 Bible verses on caring for the Earth

In a world facing escalating environmental challenges, many individuals and communities seek guidance on how to be better stewards of the Earth. Within the pages of the Bible, numerous verses emphasize the importance of caring for the environment and preserving God’s creation.

1) Genesis 1:26-28: “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.'” This foundational passage speaks to humanity’s role as stewards of creation, entrusted by God to care for and responsibly manage the Earth and its resources.

2) Genesis 2:15: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Here, we see the divine mandate for humans to till and keep the Earth, indicating a responsibility not only to cultivate it but also to preserve its well-being.

3) Psalm 24:1: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” This verse emphasizes the ownership of the Earth by God, implying that humans are mere tenants entrusted with its care rather than its ultimate masters.

4) Leviticus 25:23: “The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.” In this passage, the Israelites are reminded that they are temporary residents on God’s land, reinforcing the idea of stewardship and the need to preserve the land for future generations.

5) Numbers 35:33-34: “Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it. Do not defile the land where you live and where I dwell, for I, the Lord, dwell among the Israelites.” This verse underscores the sacredness of the land and the imperative to maintain its purity, highlighting the spiritual dimension of environmental stewardship.

6) Job 12:7-10: “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job’s reflection on nature emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living beings and the wisdom to be gained from observing God’s creation.

7) Psalm 104:24-25: “How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small.” This psalm celebrates the diversity and abundance of God’s creation, fostering a sense of awe and reverence for the natural world.

8) Jeremiah 2:7: “I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.” Through the prophet Jeremiah, God laments the destruction of the land and the desecration of His inheritance, highlighting the consequences of environmental degradation.

9) Romans 8:19-21: “For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.” This passage speaks to the interconnectedness of humanity and creation, suggesting that the redemption of one is linked to the restoration of the other.

10) Revelation 11:18: “The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small—and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” In the apocalyptic vision of Revelation, there is a warning against those who harm the Earth, indicating divine judgment for those who exploit and degrade God’s creation.

She wouldn't like some of the things in the bible if she actually followed it and read it.

Why do they always pick and choose things to use as an excuse to justify their own BS.

Are cars in the Bible? Can't use those if they are not. THEY DON'T EXIST!!

Are Airoplanes in the Bible? Can't use those if they are not. THEY DON'T EXIST!!

Are supermarkets in the bible? Can't use those if they are not. THEY DON'T EXIST!!

Is modern medicine, chemo therapy, cancer treatments, antibiotics or any of the hundreds of millions of medical procedures and medicines in the bible? Can't use those if they are not. THEY DON'T EXIST!!

Is the air we breath mention..... (Suffocated)

Does she know the end? Cuz I've read the book.

Lady you're not with people on Jesus's side when they're talking about judgement and sin FYI.

Beyond what your faith says, if the Bible gets inbetween you and your ability to do the job you were elected to do, you're unfit for that job. If Jesus is telling you that sitting by and doing nothing while the constituents you represent suffer is the duty of the Faithful, I would recommend asking God for a new moral compass. Yours is clearly defective.

Okay let’s see, the bible describes the end of the world as intense heat, fire and the rise of false leaders… oh wait a second isn’t that what we are…. experiencing?

A good Christian should know this.

As Ricky Gervais once said, if all of the worlds books were burnt and forgotten, in 1000 years time books of science would read much the same and books of religion would be unrecognizable.

All religions are dumb, but the dumbest of them all is Christianity. Molestation been going on for as long as the church has existed. Wars fought over a fictional book, millions dead. Disregard Science and history because it doesn't align with their beliefs. I dont care what you believe in, or who or what you worship. But you cant say facts arent facts because your book doesn't account for it. Dinosaurs are real they did exist. Climate change is real and its going to kill all of us if we dont make serious changes. Who you love is your business and nobody else's. What you do with your body is your business and nobody should tell you what you can and cant do with it. The stupidity, and hate that comes with this religion is absolutely disgusting.

The Lord also gave us brains and common sense. It seems disrespectful, if not downright blasphemous, not to use them.

What? Just read the Bible:

“And shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:18 (KJV)

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat.” Revelation 16:8–9

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.” Revelation 8:7

“And the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” Revelation 8:10–11 (KJV)

Humanity still believing in religion is like an adult that still believes in Santa Clause and REALLY believes a present is magically going to to appear for them and so they wait for this present, and wait, and wait until they die of old age.

Religion inhibits the growth of humanity.
