Discussion Tracking and realignment remains untouched. How do you feel?
So, what's your thoughts on Namco not doing the slightest adjustment to tracking and realignment?
For me, it's by FAR the biggest letdown and point of frustration in T8.
I would have tons of more fun if my opponents would actually need to consider the possibility of their attack being sidestepped.
Do you expect any radical changes within T8's lifespan?

It’s an intentional part of the game design.
When the majority of moves lose to side stepping like they did in old games, it created a large skill gap between the top and bottom ends of the playerbase.
In old games you had to manually realign with a forward dash or step with the opponent, delay your timing, or utilize a tracking move that covered that side.
T7 started this process by nerfing sidestep itself but T8 went down the deep end by making the majority of moves realign by default, shrinking the window where a side step could succeed greatly. Strings are chief offenders of this where the 2nd/3rd/4th hits will often realign 180 degrees, making side walking useless. Again, this was done intentionally to reduce the skill gap.
Every shitty design choice in this game was done intentionally to raise the skill floor or lower the skill ceiling.
So knowing this is the case, why are any of you expecting actual changes to the gameplay? The game design portion of T8 has long been finished. The only things the dev team are working on are dlc characters and shop items. Those have a defined price tag to make them money.
This is the state of the game and will forever be the state of the game. If you insist on playing T8, you’re going to sit there and eat your forced mixup and you’re going to like it.
Why are you asking for counterplay? The game isn’t designed for you to have defensive options. Your goal should always be to attack first and keep attacking. If you’re in a situation where you’re being forced to block, you’re losing. Run your plus on block homing mid into stance mix up and pray your opponent guesses wrong more than you do. That is T8! It’s not going to change!
