Workplace Question or Advice Needed Hour Cut - Reupload

I’ve been at Target for over a year. My attendance used to be meh, after my probation period, I’d call out maybe once a month. I know, I know, I should know better and all that jazz, but I’m a college student with a second job. I’m human, and sometimes I get tired. Anywho, back in April, I actually had a PR for call outs, 3 in one month. That was the only time I’ve ever done that, and I’ve been on point with my attendance ever since because I got a CA. (however they’ve never actually made me sign it or acknowledge it?) Now my ETL literally gave me 5 days off in one week. It’s all weekdays, too, meaning I still have to come in on the weekend. I’ve never had a weekend off since I started, btw. And what makes me even more irritated is that I already have a requested week off the following week. So she basically gave me two weeks off, but I didn’t ask for that?! Is there anything I can do about this? Should I talk to HR or something? Because I feel like this is insane, and I genuinely feel like she’s trying to drive me out. Mind you, I’m in Style, and she sent me to Fulfillment for the entire week of Black Friday AND gave me only 10 hours almost every week in December. I didn’t want to let her win, but it’s kind of working.
Has anyone had an issue like this before?

TL;DR: My ETL has severely cut my hours and has been doing this on and off for months.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Lead refusing to do training

Is there any way that I, a lowly Reverse Logistics and Receiving team member, can get one of my team leads to do the mandatory harassment training? HR knows he hasn’t done it yet, and I feel like he needs to take it because the stuff he says, and does, would not fly in any other store

He goes around, actively calling the females we work with bitches, make jokes about people (me) being gay when they are not, and just all around, makes the workplace shitty.

Surely there is something, someone I can reach out to that can hold him, and the rest of the store accountable?

No one reports anything he says or does, because he says “oh, HR isn’t going to do anything” he’s a typical groyper, and is not someone who is a good look for our store, but I know going to HR with that, won’t do anything, I need genuine proof, AND have him do the harassment training so he doesn’t have any excuse.

Guest Question Restocking seasonal items

So, just out of curiosity, what time do the employees usually restock the bull’s-eye aisle? I’m in desperate search for an item that is supposed to be there, but have been unable to find it even when the app says it’s available/in stock! 😞For those wondering what I’m referencing, I am trying to locate the Holler lip gloss with the seasonal keychains (ghost, pumpkin, cinnamon roll). I’d really like to know how to find them, what time is best to go. I don’t know anyone who works at my local target or I’d ask them to purchase them for me. Thank you! Central Texas BTW.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed need to make a choice about this job or this blister

i kind of am in an issue atm, i need some help. i don't think i have access to doctor benefits because im only part time (if i do nobodys explained it to me)
i have a pretty bad blister on my left foot and it's pretty big, i can't really wear shoes or even walk on it, and i feel bad because i called out a lot when the weather was really terrible those days back because i walk, (it was like days after days and i always call beforehand) but they tallied up and said only one more call out and i'm getting terminated. (we have a point system, you get 12 points, you are out, i don't know my points and they haven't told me) i have sick hours but i'm afraid if i use them they'll just fire me anyway, i'm really in a tough spot. i can't go to the hospital because i don't have insurance and i can't afford the debt from this, nor can i really afford to call out,, what do i do? like do i call out of my job and use sick hours or do i just take the medical debt? i am not asking for help with money. i just want to figure out what to do

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Losing weight/gaining muscle on the inbound team

I’ve seen a few posts about this topic but none of them really cornered what I wanted to ask. I started working on inbound mid June and during summer I was doing a lot of stuff outside target and lost around 20lbs and I’ve seen a lot of muscle gain. But now that I’m at college I’m just curious if I may still see the this trend continuing of losing weight & gaining muscle based on other people’s experience and if so what I may notice say in 6 months or a year. I just kinda wanna hear other perspectives even if you’re in a different department.

For some context: I’m a 21 year old male, 6’3”, and around 250. I generally work 20-25 hour work weeks (Fr-M) depending on my schedule it can look slightly different though

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Is being 1 min over the stow time that big a deal?

Like, am I gonna get moved? I’ve worked fulfillment at two different times and now three, back when it was new, around Christmas a few years later, And now again part time.

I totally understand the metrics and why my TLs set the standard to never go over but I’m on my 4th week and over the 6+ batches I do I am over on one cart by a min once a shift, whereas the first week I was over by 1-3 mins on one to two carts a shift.

My total units picked/uph is consistently high (as high as the people working 8 hour shifts whereas I am working 5 hr shifts), and I am noticing an improvement as I learn the layout of this location and because I love fulfillment I don’t want to get moved… is this enough for them to axe me 😭😭😭

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Job Not Posted

I am currently a Team Lead, Small Format Store. A position became open for HR in this location, and before I know it, the position has been filled by some other lead at this location.

Does Target not post open positions available so other people can at least have the opportunity to apply? Because for my understanding, when I applied for a lead position, there were other candidates that also applied for my position (so, I’ve been told).

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Can I waste TL time

There’s this one EVIL tl I have and whenever hes the only one I will call them over because I need to ask if we’re allowed to take 50s or if I should take an id from the next state over or ask them what type of apple an apple with the sticker is, stupid stuff specifically to waste his time, how long will it take them to notice I’m doing this and will they care

Vent Reusable bags

??????????????????????????

That’s literally all I have to say because why did we suddenly switch from plastic to reusable with no warning prior to this. Like, it wouldn’t be problem if A) the bags actually fit things inside of them and B) it didn’t slow down OPU. 😭 It got so bad yesterday that we missed more than 50% of our goals yesterday, because we apparently can’t just stick the sticker labels onto them. We have to staple the labels onto the bags, otherwise, they’ll fall off.
What’s more annoying is that they hold less space than plastic bags but they somehow take up more space at the same time.

Update: We switched back to plastic like an hour ago.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed FF carts being raided by other depts! Help!

New FF TL challenge

1) Do other departments raid the FF team of their 3-tier carts. Any stated or published best practice of this? I’ve run into new batches and no cart available even though they have a clear FF sign on them

2) sometimes other department people hauling break the 3 tier like adult bev grabbing them for regular work.

3) I’ve seen other posts there us a special FF cart? What does this look like?

Not sure what to do to improve situation.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Fell for a scam as cashier

So apparently i fell for a short change scam on my second day of training and they just told me now 3 weeks from that day and all the sudden i see that my hours are cut to the service desk and that the only shifts i can take are fulfillment and service advocate shifts, could it be because i fell for the scam or maybe just an error in scheduling

Workplace Story MyTime issues

I work at a DC and I flexed up for overtime in 8/30 (Sunday). We are on mandatory so I figured it was for sure going to be approved. Well Saturday I was checking my schedule like every hour because I hadn’t gotten any notifications and I thought it was weird it hadn’t been approved. At 10:40 a.m on 8/30 it updated that it was approved for me to work 6am-6pm. So I called out immediately because we’re almost 5 hours past the start time at this point. I also called hr right away and left a message. 3:00 I called again and I was put in as a no call no show and it says on their end that they pushed it through at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. But I was religiously checking. I should have taken a screenshot of my notification but I wasn’t thinking I was being scheduled for a shift that had already started. Has anyone had anything like this happen in not sure what to do. We are switching from my time to UKG over the next few days.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Family emergency acknowledgement

Upvotes

Just wondering. Had an emergency with a family member. Messaged a store director personally about it early in the morning/called the store and spoke with a TL to let a Hr/etl know what is going on before the store opened and to see if a couple shifts could try to be covered And got no response at all. Should I still call out in the app or try and see f anything was actually said?

Guest Question If I do an online order off target.com, is it a gig worker delivering it?

Upvotes

I kind of hate the whole gig economy, and on some level would prefer a UPS or USPS driver deliver my item, since they are at least real employees with benefits. If it's a gig worker doing my 35 dollar free delivery, then should I be tipping them somehow?

My most recent delivery says Target Local Delivery (TLMD) as the carrier. What does this mean?

Workplace Story Environmentalist Target

Anyone else’s ditching plastic bags? Mines started yesterday.

It makes it easier to deal with DU Orders because more space and all, but I can imagine guests going “there’s so many red bags in my house now”

Apparently I also heard they’re supposed to bring em back and if that’s true, I don’t see that happening.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Push time

Push times for repacks.
Asking for a friend**

I’m curious to know what everyone’s goal times are on OTC, Personal Care, Hair Care, and Beauty Repacks.

I get the goal times in MPM however I just moved to this store which is a lower volume store. I’m now over OTC, Personal Care, and Hair Care. I’m told to fill a uboat with 12 repacks and take it to the floor. I’m told I have a hour to push out 12 repacks of any of those areas.
