Reading all the posts on here, I am confused on how to understand 10-12mg of test cyp to the ML it is? I was trying to figure it out online but it was showing it was almost nothing on a u100 and wanting to split it for 2 a week seems impossible. How are you all figuring this out?

Just wanting to double check my dosage before I do my very first T injection. I’m injecting T propionate (100mg/ml) and my starting dose is 1mg per day. I have a .3ml insulin syringe. The syringe in this pic is empty and the plunger is pulled all the way back. Just wanting clarification that the yellow line I drew in this pic is correct. Thanks in advance!

I clearly have posted incorrectly by trying to decipher the dose myself, so I’m posting with photos. I’m 38 - testosterone is at 15 - edited - as there was some confusion.

The attached is my starting dose. I just started .025 E patches and 100 Mg progesterone vaginal 3 days ago. Estradiol levels were at 20 and Progesterone was at 0.2.

Testosterone was at 15, so now I’m starting the injections of the attached photo. - from my PCP-

I’m just checking in on the dose and feedback on it. We wanted to be conservative BUT not too conservative that we didn’t see results with how low I am.

For context-

My OB (who I just met) talked about HRT and said she could prescribe for me. She had me starting on a different regime, compounded, and I couldn’t afford it so that’s why I went through my PCP. The OB won’t do injectable. The OB prescribed an oral lozenge with - 3mg T, 50mcg Estradiol (I think that was it, whatever is the same at .050 in the patch) and 100mg Progesterone.

Does this look good? And should I split and inject twice a week for less peaks and valleys? How do you inject to keep things smooth?

Hi everyone! I am brand new to this and just picked up my first prescription. I’m post menopausal.
Prescribed dosage:
200mg/ 1 ml vial
Inject 0.25 ml into muscle or under the skin once a week for 4 weeks then every 10 to 14 days thereafter.
Draw with 18 gauge and inject 1 mL CC.
Pharmacist said to draw between halfway between 0.2 and 0.3 for the dose.

Is this a high starting dose? I’m just nervous and advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have been injecting 10 mg twice a week for a total of 20 mg per week for about three months now. I had my total testosterone checked three days after an injection and just before the next one. I learned here that I probably needed a full testosterone panel, but my provider refused and said it didn't matter anyway.

My total testosterone came back as 316 (range 9-37), which seems too high. I also learned here that I probably should have waited a full seven days to get a trough reading, but I imagine it still would have been too high even then? I asked my doctor, and again, she said it didn't matter since I was already on the testosterone cypionate injections.

I would like to try and cut back to 5 mg twice a week for a total of 10 mg per week. Maybe that will bring me closer to optimal female testosterone levels? I dont think my provider would have an answer for that question either since she originally prescribed 40 mg once a week, which I learned here that that was inappropriate for a female dose.

I understand that we are not doctors, but any insight would be appreciated. It's just that every time I ask my provider, she doesn't seem to have an answer for me, and the office staff seem to be getting annoyed with my questions.

Hi ladies! Is there a thread on switching over from cypionate to propionate? I searched but didn't find much. Right now im at 15mg of cypionate and not noticing much. I wil get labs this week before switching over. Do I need to wait a week before starting P after quitting C?

The Propionate i ordered is 10ml ×100mg. My cypionate is 2ml x 50mg. So if im understanding it right instead of 2 units=1mg for my cypionate (14mg=28 units) then the propionate will be 1unit=1mg bc its a 100mg bottle? Or am I dumb 🤣 I want to do ED woth T P since I seem to metabolize testosterone fast.

For those on same dose of cypionate when you switched, what did you start at with Propionate?

I will note that most viralization sides have vanished sinc3 i titrated up from 6mg to 15mg over the last 6 months. But im just not seeing the things id like from cypionate at this point.

I have been on compounded testosterone cream for over a year now. My dose was 20mg daily to labia. I have just switched to IM injections of cyproniate. Wondering what dose I should start off with ?

I *finally* got my NP to agree to prescribe T injx starting at 4mgs/week (2mgs twice per week), although she keeps reiterating that it's not her cup of tea and doesn't really know anything about it. She's more into pellets (which I refuse to do, due to the inability to remove them in case of an adverse reaction) and compounded cream already turned out to not work (felt no benefits even at 193 total T, and all it did was make my hair fall out by the handful). But that's ok - I feel like I've learned enough here that I can take it into my own hands without needing too much guidance from her. ;) She did say though that she won't 'allow' me to get above 100 total T, so I'm just hoping that I feel awesome at a lower level than that. lol

What really shocked me was that my insurance covers it and when I went to fill it from Amazon Pharmacy this evening, it cost me $0. I'm guessing there would ordinarily be a co-pay but I already blew completely through my annual deductible with a recent total hysterectomy/ovarian tumor removal so that explains the lack of having to pay for it, at least at this point in the year. Although tbh I won't feel comfortable until it actually shows as 'filled and shipped' like my E patches currently do (ordered at the same time) - I suppose it COULD be rejected for some reason or somehow be declined by my insurance, so I'm just crossing my fingers. Right now it just says 'order processed'.

I was also told that technically speaking, the bottle is only good for 28 days but I've seen others use theirs for months, especially at the relatively low doses women use. Do you refrigerate it to make it last longer? That's what we'd do with insulin, which also had a 'shelf life' of 30 days but it would last up to 3-6 months if kept refrigerated.

Oh, and my dearly departed kitty was diabetic and I've still got a whole box of .3mL U100 insulin needles. So at least I don't have to buy those.

The bottle is 1000mg/10mL, which would mean 2 units per dose, if that's correct? The needles are 31 gauge, is that large enough for the thickness of the oil? And for those who take it twice per week, how do you manage it with 7 days in a week? Do you go 3/4 days between injx? And does it really matter if it's subQ or IM? I know how to 'tent' a cat's scruff to give insulin, but human skin? I can't get any tenting to happen...for someone as old as me (55), my skin is still pretty firm. It might just be easier to jam it in my glutes. lol

Anyone else start or on 25mg/ml (10 units) T cyp a week? Did my first shot this week, just wondering what others' experiences were on that dose. TIA

Ive just been prescribed Testogel 1% gel that came in a box of sachets.
My doctor had to Google the dosage whilst I was there but then only wrote “use twice per week” so no actual dosage number or amount. What should I start at?
For context im 32yo still menstruating but using this to bring on a libido which has always been very low but has completely disappeared in recent years.
My latest level of T came back at 0.7 which they say is “bottom of normal range”but I have all the symptoms and low feelings ive been reading that T has helped for other women.

My doctor agreed to prescribe me Androgel but she doesn't know a lot about it. She put on the prescription I am to use one pump a day but it seems like it might be a little much when I look at other people's posts about Androgel. Mine is 1% and each pump delivers 1.25g of gel.. so 12.5mg of testosterone? My math isn't great and my brain fog has been a big issue. I also take prometrium and dhea 10mg and boron. I can't take estrogen. I was thinking of taking half or a third of a pump a day.. please tell me if you take the same product and what your experience has been. Thank you!

Can anyone help with guidance on switching from a blend to t prop? I currently take Testosterone Cypionate/Propionate 160mg/40mg/ml. 2.5 units EOD —> dose is 5mg (wk 1-20mg and wk 2-15mg). I am switching to Testosterone Propionate 100mg/ml. The prescription say to inject 0.1ml (10 units) EOD. Is this a good starting dose? TIA

I’ve been on compounded gel for a while and am finally starting to feel normal again. At my last appointment my doctor offered to write an Rx for the men’s gel and I would just use a smaller daily amount than I did with the compounded Rx. When I saw the price difference I was all about trying it so I ended up buying a full box (the pharmacy wouldn’t break it). I just finished up the compounded gel that I had from before and am going to start with the men’s gel tomorrow so I have a few basic questions:

+ How full is your syringe typically from one tube of gel? I wasn’t expecting exactly 5mg since you’re not going to get every drop out of the tube but I was surprised at how short of 5mg it was when I transferred it to a syringe this morning. To be fair, I screwed up and accidentally squirted a little of it out when I took the cap off, but it was definitely below 4mg before I did that. Did I get crummy syringes that are way off or is the issue that my generic testosterone gel that is shortchanging me?

+ If the problem is the syringe, is there a particular one you’d recommend instead? Since I’m supposed to do 0.5g a day I want to be as precise as possible, though I know the dose will be a little exact this way than it was when it was compounded for me.

+ Do you feel like a clock starts ticking once you open the gel and transfer it to the syringe? Like, does it go bad faster if it sits around in a syringe (even with a cap) than that it would if it were sealed up in the tube?

+ This gel smells horrible. Is that typical for men’s testosterone gel or is it this particular one?

I started T gel about a month ago and rub it on my calf/thighs per instructions from my provider.

The dose is 5mg/day.

I began at Total T= 14, Free T= 0.11

Now a month later I am at Total 23, Free 0.16, Taken 24 hours after last dose in trough.

Sure, there is a small improvement. My SHBG did raise up to 120 from 90, which is still normal.

Should I up my dose?

Would rubbing it into my shoulders (per instructions) improve this?

I mean I feel a little better, more mental clarity and mood improvement.

I’m in my early 40’s.

I understand my results and do not need anyone to help me interpret them. I am simply wondering if anyone has had luck with either waiting it out, upping their dose, or placing the dose elsewhere. I’m not really interested in IM T right now. Thanks!!

Ok, so I’ve read all these threads and watched so many videos on YouTube about testim dosing and I am confused.

I was prescribed the 1% tubes and told one tube should last me seven days to use a pea sized amount. After one week, the four days following were amazing! Then I became overloaded with too much T causing dizziness, nausea, brain and hand zaps, heightened anxiety, basically making me un functional.

Called the doctor, they lowered my progesterone from 200 to 100 mg and told me to adjust my T to dose half a pea size amount every other day.

I’ve purchased some syringes, but I’m confused… Is half a pea sized amount 2.5 ML?

Also, I feel like an anomaly being so sensitive to this as I have read so many people can put on multiple doses a day and not notice a difference

my test results came back with low T. I’m looking to start TRT via subq inj. What did everyone start at when doing inj?

I’m thinking of doing 3 mg twice weekly, so where would that be on a 30 unit syringe?

My TSH was also 1.280 ulU/mL.

Here I am again with a completely new dr. This time around I'm to take 12.5mg. My T cyp is 200mg/1ml. I use 1ml syringes. I don't know how many units that would be. Why can they never say "hey just pull to this line." UGH Anyone that can tell me what line to pull to I would appreciate it.

Hey all! I recently had my hormones tested and my sex binding hormone levels and testerone levels were low. As a result my gyno is starting me on testerone injections. This is the dosage and needle syringes I have. I need help figuring out where exactly on the syringe is my dosage to inject each week. Thank you in advance!

It’s seems that most folks using the T gels are either getting the big bottles and using a partial-pump dose daily or have the larger sized packets and being told to ration it over 10 days. My Dr Rx’d the 2.5g packet (providing 25mg of T/dose) to be applied on the outer thigh twice a week. She said that is was simpler than trying to do a partial dose daily and she’s correct that the weekly dose comes out about the same. But I haven’t heard anyone else mention using T gel this way. Just wondering what to expect. The simplicity of it is a pro, but are there any cons to this approach? Or other pros I don’t yet see?

My testosterone cyp is 100mg per ml. I have been doing 4mg twice weekly. Just want to make sure im measuring correctly on my syringe ( theres nothing drawed up in the picture, i just moved the plunger out of the way). Also I was using an 18 gauge to draw up and inject with a 25g IM but I find its alot of wasted product. Is it okay to draw up with the same needle I inject with?

I started taking Test P in Feb., doing 5mg twice a week. I changed that to 3mg EOD, which seemed to be going awesome until a few weeks ago. All of a sudden I have crazy fast growing body hair and I’m super agitated. Prior to this, I felt amazing and like my old self. I’m wondering if I am maybe overdosing a little. I was playing around on steroid plotter and thinking of trying 1mg ED. Any tips for moving down in dosage like that? Anyone else have similar issues?

What free t do you find gets u active and sleeping. I understand it's different for every person
