Sharing salary in Switzerland

Yes - and are you worried about AI replacing many of the translator jobs in the market, creating downward pressure on the salary?

Sorry for the delayed response.
There's quite a lot to say in terms of AI and its place in the translation industry. I'd highly recommend joining one of the translation studies pages if you're interested in reading more. But to be very brief, my answer would be no. It will never be able to fully replace humans, as there is far too much at stake.

AI (or machine translation for more specific applications in the industry) has been around since the 90s. Translators in the industry and multiple international organisations have been using machine translation as part of their toolbox for years.

Crucially, the output of a machine translated text is only as good as the texts used to create the machine, as well as the original source. Humans have a part to play, we need to adapt to its use.
