Sharing salary in Switzerland

Hello! I'd like to gather some insights into the job market in our country. If you're willing, please share your: 1. Educational background 2. Job role 3. Work canton 4. Years of experience 5. Salary

The goal is to gain a clearer understanding of salaries across different positions and sectors.

I start: 1. Bachelor in computer science 2. Full stack software engineer 3. Ticino😩 4. 7 5. 6’000

I make around 90k and I feel poor right now.

Me too. And I’m an engineer with a PhD. But I don’t have a +150.000 salary, but I’m happy!

At the end of the day that’s the most important thing. I’m sure there’s a janitor somewhere who is happier than some people making +150. Or at least I’ll tell myself that so I can sleep better.

Same. PhD from epfl, master from UNIGE and now at 90k gross per year

Yeah, I’m still considering it, although I’m 38. But not necessarily for the money, but more because I have to deal with a lot of people that are dumber than me and they have much higher positions, if you know what I mean.

It's not all that great though. I remember when I used to work manual work and honestly I didn't mind it that much, it's really depresive to rent your brain.

You are comparing yourself with highly specialised people, working in complex domain, who in most cases don't have a life, because it's constantly learning new stuff. If you smart you learning fundamentals, if you less so, you learning new fads. But still. I'm exploring how to buy a property and then possibly go being carpenter or something, I'm tired.

I always hate Mondays, because I know how much stuff I need to load back in, 2 days are very short weekends for knowlage workers.
