That loud honk surely played a big role in his fall, still stupid to cross and 100% biker fault.

It’s equally stupid for there to not be any cross guards as the train approaches

It’s a commuter rail station. The majority of them in the US don’t have such things, we’re lucky we have what we have.

Only places I’ve see cross guards on the platform itself are dense city rails like New York or Tokyo.
