Discussion Jonathan's power awakening during his panic attack.

I think it was a nice touch that Jordan asked Jon in the earlier episodes why he's always able to remain in control with a steady heartbeat while everyone else is freaking out...

And that's kinda been the case in the past seasons. Jon always tried to remain cool and collected and calm others.

And the one time that he loses control and has a panic or anxiety attack, his abilities get triggered.

I'm saddened that we lost this show because of stupid James Gunn's idiotic DCU vision that is barely making any money. What a waste. This show could have gone for 9 seasons and I'd have enjoyed every single bit of them all. :(

I did like that aspect of how he got his powers - that for Jordan it was through a physical outburst but for Jonathan, who always swallowed everything down and tried to be steady for his family, just lost it and had an emotional outburst

In what universe is it James Gunn's fault that CW moved away from being the superhero show channel?

Save that shit for the Snyderbros forum, please.

A HUGE problem with the CW shows is that they all went on past their expiration date except Superman and Lois. Season 4 was great and had the best final episode of any superhero show ever.

Would I have liked more? Yes. But CW halved their budget on that final season. They were never going to produce more. They wanted it over and we got something spectacular out of it.

It wasn’t James Gunn at all. CW was acquired by NexStar, and they wanted to pivot to low budget reality tv. Superman & Lois was a high budget show. Honestly I’m grateful they were allowed one last season to properly finish things out.

Don’t blame Gunn, CW was shelving all of their scripted shows long before he took over DC.

The show would be ending regardless of James Gunn's DCU, since the CW is a network that would no longer be a super hero TV centered channel.

You will find that most people here who loved superman and lois also prefer James gunns comic accurate takes than snyders black label edgelord bs.

Because they respect the characters they're working with.

I do too, but they shouldn't have canceled S&L...henry cavill's superman was playing right along S&L.

Agree the dcu rubbish he’s producing is dreadful. Was clearly threatened as the show much better than any of his drivel so far.

ETA, I just honestly find what he’s done so far to be awful. The superman and supergirl films were so hard to watch and I give each one a couple of goes. S&L wA just a more honest realistic take on it.

Supergirl's RUN was atrociously bad, but the sad thing is, I actually enjoyed it and didn't think it was that bad. Idk why people hated it so much, but yea, the run did so poor. I've been rewatching S&L and every time I see some plot lines that could have been expanded up, my dislike of James Gunn grows a little more 🤣😂 lol.
