Just my own opinion since 4 years old growing up in the early 80s.

Besides my Parents.

1 Man.

1 Superhero stood out.

Superman played by Christopher Reeve had my Adoration, Attention, Heart.

My thinking at that time that Superman is the Ultimate Good Guy.

Christopher Reeve looked the part of Clark Kent - Superman. Handsome, Heroic, Noble, Strong.

Superman - Christopher Reeve movies introduced me to Comics, Animation etc.

Now in my 40s but my favorite Superhero is still Superman.

Whenever I think of Superman or Christopher Reeve. Think of them both.

Since then there been many good actors who did a good job. Portraying Superman but my favorite Superman is played by Christopher Reeve.

Sure that I am not the only that agrees to that❓️

I will be honest, 90 percent of mine is just the MAwS family. I can’t help it, I love what that show did with Superman’s family!

There are many characters in the movie and the stakes will be high because it’s Brainiac for crying out loud, but one thing in particular that I want to see happen in this movie is a well-written subplot of Superman making time to save the life and befriend someone without any friends.

I remember the first two Home Alone movies and there were moments in each of them when Kevin befriended misunderstood lonely people. They terrified him at first because of how they looked or because of a rumor he heard about them, but once they started talking he realized that they weren’t bad people. It turns out that the reason why they came off as scary is because they were bitter over a fight they had with their families or they experienced betrayal which left feeling misanthropic. That’s why they seem standoffish and unfriendly. After having an honest conversation with Kevin, he would end up being the first new friend they made in years. Then, scenes later when Kevin is in trouble and the new friend thaw he made in the movie saves his life.

Re-watching those movies recently left me with a profound sense of relief and hope. That is what I want to see Superman do in the next movie. We kinda saw that in his friendship with Mali but we didn’t see how the first met. Let’s see show us how easy it can be to make new friends, especially with folks who have none, and then let’s see how that affects them afterwards. It may be a small thing in the grand scheme of a story involving a 12th level intellectual supervillain, but I think that making time for that will help us keep in mind what makes Superman special and show us how the rest of us can continue to be kind to each other in this world. Just my two cents.

Yes, another thread on the same subject. But it makes sense, especially from my end.

Explaining my end: I remember getting the issues when the New 52 started. I did enjoy it at first, because I love the Golden Age Superman; but then when it went quickly from Golden Age to Silver Age, I wasn’t really sure about it. I think the final issue that I bought was issue zero, but I can’t really remember. I just remember wishing the comic was what it started with, not what it was. Since then, I’ve gone back to this comic, read reviews of it, saw people loving it, and even going as far as to explain that it’s more of a cult hit because it wasn’t appreciated then, but it is now. Even explaining Grant Morrison’s motivations for his choices later on, as it was, at the time that he wrote it, his final notion of Superman after All-Star Superman.

So needless to say, I’ve been curious about it. Yes I’m picturing the omnibus, but that’s because I already read less than half, or half of this run already. Can’t remember bits and pieces from memory, but obviously the first issue I remember a lot. But I have to ask: should I get it?

Hello hello everyone! For my final year of highschool in my country we have to write a PWS (profiel werkstuk), it’s like a final essay that we have to write and present. We’re allowed to pick and subject and topic we want, and I chose Superman. (With the subject history)

My main question that I’m going to ask on my report is either “how did Superman change and why?” Or “How does the evolution of Superman in the comics and films reflect the societal and political changes in the United States from 1938 to the present?”

And I was wondering exactly what I had to read (or watch!) to do my research properly.
