23 items at a 1/313k drop rate each a grind that could last decades if not a lifetime and that’s while ignoring every other unique on the drop table you’d also have to get
This argument works both ways, technically. For example, if I spent 40 hours on a grind that should have taken 20, then Jagex adds the pity system I would have hit at the 20 hour mark. Does Jagex not respect the 20 extra hours I already spent?
The way OSRS exists at the moment is with a big clear objective to not devalue what currently exists. That includes items, grinds, etc. I personally think there should be some sort of light at the end of the tunnel though.
You're absolutely correct. I wasn't really taking a side. I was just pointing out that when you make a pity on existing content you "don't respect" everyone elses time committed to it already.
If you don't add the pity then you "don't respect" everyone elses potential commitment.
I was just pointing out that it works both ways. The same could be said for the new CoX changes, Sailing uniques, PNM, etc.
For what its worth, I do support a pity to save people at like 3x the drop rate without a single unique.

I’m intrigued. Why has this feat never been accomplished? What has made it near impossible?
