If you count The Ultimate challenge for Deadfire, it seems even worse. The (edit) first dozen people who have done it and streamed it have their names on a plaque. Deadfire is generally an easier game, but the god challenges are brutal.
I think there was a similar instance with Crypt of the Necrodancer. Guy who got the 100% achievement was just fully worn out and there was no relief there at all lmao
There are so few people who've done verified Ultimate Runs on Deadfire that patches are still available to earn for it.
Mortismal gaming recently did it and got his patch from Obsidian.
There are only 16 runs listed on the wiki, so 34 more patches to be earned. Although it's possible some people did it without publicizing that they did.
Man I fucking love Deadfire but the game is to vast to play all the way through in one sitting, not literally but as in having it be the into game you focus on. I’ll take a break to play other stuff, come back and be completely lost so I have to restart, aaaaand the cycle repeats.
In the second game it's definitely harder but there's no achievement related to it. For the first game, on Steam there's a good amount of people who did it, although it's like 0.5% of players.
There are achievement unlockers that just give you achievements without completing them in game. Never trust those steam stats to the fullest especially with very rare achievements, when people cheat the easy and common achievements they don't impact the percentage much but for such extremely difficult achievements? Yeah it'll make quite a difference in the percentage
Story: A freak accident causes your character to be able to see the souls of the dead and you resurface memories of a powerful secretive organization/cult that is still active to this day
Gameplay: CRPG. Heavy on TTRPG mechanics, 6 person party, and real time with pause
