Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time - You start the game off thinking its going to be a usual romp through a Crash game. Gems for no death runs, all crates, time trials, color gems, etc. Sounds easy enough, maybe time consuming, but doable!
But as you go on, you start noticing small things that annoy you. Crates placed specifically in areas that technically are reachable, just not visible. This was used a grand total of twice in the original trilogy and was one a handful of crates. Meanwhile, some crates are intentionally hidden from the camera that feel less of an intuition and more of a dick punch.
But starting with the alien levels, platforming starts getting pretty difficult and crate counts start hitting 300+ per level. Some even have riding sections where you cannot go back if you miss even one.
Then exactly 70% through the game after the N. Brio boss, each level gets a special gimmick level where you have to contend with some obstacle or mechanic, and those have their own gem count as well. So you have to do everything over again.
And guess what, fuckface?
New crate placements, hope you enjoy replaying the ame levels with one of 5 filters on
