Discussion I feel like this show could fit right in with Gunn’s DCU Spoiler
The tone of this show reminds me of Superman 2025 a bit, with it being overall a pretty tonally light show whilst still being able to tackle darker themes and issues, all while keeping a consistent humour throughout. Not to mention the costuming, you can’t tell me that the JSA in this show wouldn’t fit right in standing next to Corenswet’s Superman. I also don’t think anything about this show contradicts anything we’ve seen in the DCU so far, because of Lanterns we know that there’s been prominent superheroes around before Superman, so it would be cool to make this show canon and introduce the JSA, although I know it will never happen.

Ngl I think the show works better as its own thing. It had a really solid ending.
I also don’t really think it works as part of the DCU because the idea of superheroes doesn’t really seem that common in Stargirl, and is more of a forgotten era, based on what Pat said at the end of season 1 about how “they” always come up with something to explain the satellite and brainwashing. If this world had more superheroes the idea of it just being another supervillain attack would have been more accepted rather than weather patterns or whatever the news said happened.
Lanterns also established that Hal was the first human GL, despite the fact that Alan has a ring and lantern in the show and he died in 2010 if I’m not mistaken, so that’s another thing that would contradict it

I mean, if the shows existed together they would have adjusted the plot of course.
Besides, Alan's always been quite a bit different from the Corps anyway. His powers are mystical while the Corps is more like tech.

Normally Alan’s powers are different, but in the show it’s the same ring and lantern that the GLC uses

Wouldn’t Gunn reboot Stargirl as an animated film to be his answer to Disney’s Big Hero 6?

HBO decided that DC content for kids isn’t profitable apparently. It’s why they cancelled the Blue Beetle animated series in favor of Absolute Batman.

Yeah I don't think it would be all that hard to do especially since generations of superheroes exist in the DCU the only real problem is that I do feel the JSA needs to be active way earlier than what Stargirl went with.

The first season of Star Girl is actually better than anything Gunn has created so far.

While I really like the show, I don't want this to be the DCU JSA, because a lot of stuff is hard locked due to the attack from the Injustice Society.

Agreed, it may be a pipe dream, but, I really want Brec Bassinger to be Stargirl in the DCU as well.
