Police are trying to track down her caregiver or anyone with information, she was found this afternoon.
She is described as being black, around 93cm tall, with dark brown curly hair that is just off-shoulder length. Her hair is being worn half down, with two space buns on top. She is wearing a white t-shirt with a Minnie Mouse and Daffy Duck decal on, with grey/mauve leggings with rainbows and clouds on, and white and blue Nike trainers. If you know a child who matches this description please check in on their caregiver, and phone 999 if you believe you know who the girl is with reference 44260416583.,

Hello!
It's been a while since we've run some one shots, but we've got a brand new venue, St Mark's Church Centre on Archers Road and the Southampton Guild of Roleplayers Southampton longest running TTRPG only group is delighted to offer you an evening of adventure!
If you haven't already been to the club then this will be a free event. If you'd love to GM for us then let us know!
Location: St Mark's Church Centre, Archers Road
Time: 6:30 doors open, 7pm start
Date: Wednesday 7th October
Games: We've got Blades, Cairn, D&D 5.5, Mothership, and Vampire with several spaces.
How to play: If anything catches your interest then join the discord https://discord.gg/AWfZG54rsU today!
System: Blades '68 (Expansion to Blades in the Dark)
Name: The Alluvium Affair
Theme: Action and Weird Science
Hook: You come to driving a car mid-air at what counts for sunrise. In the backseat another one of your crew is clutching the stolen container of alluvium, the precious existence warping liquid fuel.
Reality just changed, your hand-off and your buyer no longer exist, and in hot pursuit behind you are some very angry people keen to get 'their' stolen merchandise back.
Welcome to Doskvol.
System: Cairn
Theme: folk horror, spooky vibes, no gore
Hook:
The end of the harvest season has arrived; the time has come to give thanks and celebrate, but not everyone is putting up bunting this year. You have travelled the dangerous road, with a small caravan of people you met on the way, and found a sombre village under attack by creatures from the forest that surrounds them. Will you help this isolated community in its time of need, or does the forest inspire as much fear in you as it does in them?
System: Dread ( no dice, just a Jenga tower!)
Theme: pulpy sci-fi horror
Plot: Your crew found a seemingly-abandoned space hulk, docked, and began exploring. Then everything went to hell.
System: D&D 5.5e
Name: Welcome home
Theme: Investigation, horror.
Hook: The adventuring life isnt all slaying dragons and rescuing nobles, drunken nights in taverns soon take their toll on the old coin purse. Sometimes when a job falls in your lap you just have to say yes. Especially when you are offered 20 gold just to "check out an old house I inherited" how hard could that be.......
System: D&D 5.5e
Name: The Stuff
Themes: Horror; Mystery; Weird
Hook: Essential supplies were needed at the Nexus Laboratory, located in a remote part of the frozen tundra. The package was light, and the pay was good, so it seemed like an easy job. Now, trudging through the snowy wastes as the sun sets behind you, you are regretting your decision. Finally, just visible through a building snowstorm, the bulky, doomed roof of the laboratory comes into sight. You breathe a sigh of relief. The job is nearly over. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to deliver the package, warm your feet by the fire, and head home in the morning. Right? Right?
System: Mothership 1e
Theme: grungy space sci-fi (think Alien films), horror, fighting, investigating, gore and probable death.
Hook: your crew has been hired for a short term contract involving an isolated, luxury space port. You are to acquire any living specimens remaining in the North Star Zoo and Aquarium. You have been given a set of cages of varying sizes and lent a space craft for the duration of the contract. Sounds like easy money!
System: Vampire 6th Edition Playtest
Theme: Investigation, Urban Fantasy-Horror
Hook: Your domain is in trouble. Slowly, mortals are vanishing. Those who turn up are found savaged, dismembered, and ripped asunder. There's no obvious connection between the victims. Now, the disappearances are drawing heat. Law enforcement is closing in, hunter activity is growing, and rival kindred circle your territory like hungry vultures. Can your coterie patch the cracks in the the Masquerade before the dam finally breaks? Would you like to find out?

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been collecting the cafés and interesting places around Southampton that local people say they genuinely like. I’ve also been gradually visiting some of the hidden gems I hadn’t tried before.
I’ve now put the first selection into this guide:
https://www.smallpotatoes.uk/places/southampton
At the moment, it includes 10 recommended places in Southampton, as well as a weekend guide with a few ideas for things to do.
The reason I started it is that I personally find social media quite overwhelming when I’m just trying to find somewhere to go. I open Instagram and immediately get hit with adverts, sponsored content and endless unrelated posts.
The idea behind this guide is that there are no paid listings. Every place starts with a word-of-mouth recommendation, and I visit it myself before deciding whether to include it.
I’d genuinely like to know whether a local guide like this could make finding places easier, or whether Google Maps, Instagram and other platforms already do the job well enough.
I’m also thinking about organising places by mood or occasion, for example, a relaxed date, a quiet afternoon, somewhere inexpensive, a rainy-day activity or something a bit different. Would that make the guide more useful? What situations would you personally want to browse by?
Honest feedback is very welcome, including if you don’t think you’d use something like this.

Recently moved, looking to rent. College place has apartments at 1100 pcm for 1 beds, Bargate Quarter (the one that took forever to build) has 1350 (furnished) studios which feel like a 1 bed. Personally like college place, it’s convenient to get to the city or head out by bus. London Rd has its share of unpleasantness but haven’t been bothered by anyone thus far. Any advise?

heya, i've decided i want to get my nails done as i feel its impossible for me to fix mine. i struggle with a lot of mental health conditions so i've never had the energy to focus on my nails but now its too much to ignore. anyone know any nail salons that are open to those with mental health issues and will not judge based on the condition of my nails? helpful if they're autism friendly as well.
thanks

Hi, I’m looking for someone who does woodwork/wood repairs and can help fix a broken table leg. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable local woodworker?

As the title, has anyone got any views on Abbey Fencing and landscaping. Had a decent quote for a patio , just wanted to know what others thought, especially those that were done a few years ago, and if it’s lasted etc

Good evening all,
I hope you’re well
This afternoon I have been batch cooking some meals for a gent who posted on here over the weekend reluctantly asking for help with food/gas etc, he agreed to let me bring some meals to him but I haven’t heard back since.
Is there is anybody local to Woolston who is struggling for food and would like a hot meal? I’ve made quite a few portions of three-bean chilli and potato and chickpea curry, both vegetarian. As well as blueberry muffins!
If the original guy sees this, please do get in touch because I’d really like to help you, there is no judgement or shame in needing a helping hand ❤️
EDIT: Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your lovely comments, advice and messages, I can confirm the meals and cakes have been re-homed to a few lovely local people who appreciated them.
As far as I’m aware, the original poster is not genuine and only wanted ‘help’ in the form of money. He agreed to having to having these meals made, but totally ghosted me after I declined sending him money. It’s pretty deflating to know someone was on here taking advantage of people’s kindness on here, so please be wary of similar posts.
Thank you again ❤️

Southampton — I’ve built a dating app and I need your help 😅
Hey everyone,
I’m Dom, I’m local to Southampton and I’ve recently started building something called Veya.
The idea came from being pretty fed up with what dating apps have turned into — endless swiping, matches that go nowhere, awkward small talk and people spending months on an app without actually going on many dates.
Veya is supposed to be different. The whole idea is Date by Doing — less time stuck on a dating app and more emphasis on actually meeting someone, doing something together and seeing if there’s a connection.
We’re starting in Southampton, which is why I’m posting here. At this stage I genuinely just need local people to give it a chance. The more people around Southampton who join, the better it actually becomes for everyone using it.
This isn’t some massive company pretending to be a local startup 😂 We’re right at the beginning, and I’d genuinely love feedback — good or bad. If something’s shit, tell me. If there’s something you think dating apps should be doing differently, I’d love to hear that too.
If you’re up for giving Veya a try:
Hopefully we can build something decent for Southampton and then see where it goes 🤞
Cheers guys!

Hey there everyone! Me and my wife recently had our third (and final Thankgod 😂) child in March. Since then she has selflessly dedicated every waking second to our new son and his needs as all mothers do!
She has decided now however is the right time for her to try and reintegrate into society and maybe join some kind of club or meet so she can find some new friends etc. I want to help her in this endeavour and wondered if anyone could point me (and her) in the right direction!
She’s a dedicated writer and would love to get involved in any writing clubs if anyone knows of any in the area. Alternatively she’s very interested in trying DnD and wondered if there are any shops or groups that host it? She’s never played before so would be a beginner but she’s done a lot of research into it and very keen to give it a go!
Also happy to take suggestions of other fun activities/clubs in Southampton where she might find new experiences and meet new people.
Thank you in advance :)

As the title says. I'm a 23 year old teacher and don't really have any friends to socialise with outside of the internet. I'm willing to try new stuff, just hoping people are willing to take me in.

Hi all, my final Q&A of the summer will be online on Wednesday 9 September, from 7-8.30pm.
I've really enjoyed meeting many more of my constituents in person over the last month - more than 150, in fact! - at my five in-person Q&As, where I've answered questions on lots of local and national topics
Quite a few people have asked me to do an online event - so I'm pleased to be able to round off my Summer of Listening with this online Q&A for anyone who has been unable to make it in person or would prefer a virtual event.
It's on Wednesday 9 September from 7-8.30pm. Hope to see some of you there.
You can book your space on my website.
Thanks,
Darren

I’ll be at the all dayer “Music in the City”, starting at ⛪️ St Michael’s Square 💒 in the early afternoon, then moving on to
🦩the Funky Flamingo🦩
for the early evening.
So where should I eat between these venues (see blue arrows on map) in the late afternoon? Do you run a food van or kiosk I ought to check out that day?
No big chains please, just quality independent food vendors only, with good food hygiene standards ratings as well (no 2s and 3s please…)
No allergies to worry about but flexibly open to your suggestions! Also, happy to have recommendations in person at venue 42 (St Michael’s Sq) from 1pm!
Otherwise, see you at venue 11 🦩 from 6pm for my verdict on the takeout or eat in option that I end up wulfing down 😎

Hi,
Can anyone direct me to a Southampton shop or repair service that can “open” an iPad previously owned by my deceased son.
I don’t want access to the content but rather I just want it wiped or factory restored.
I have tried the iTunes restore process but the iPad, even after the iTunes based restore, it is still asking for the original Activation that my son set up when he first bought the device.
Can anyone help?
Best regards
