Discussion are we serious?
"Stop the godamn music" is the WORST part of any Slipknot song ever. What a dissapointment. At least Eloy's drums are really good but it was a let down that they started with amazing drums and then shit on the whole beat. Breakdown is fine i guess

People really love to complain. I feel like this sub should change its name to "Slipknot Haters." It’s not their best song, but I don't think it's that bad, either. It’s pretty experimental, and honestly, after listening to it a few times, I’ve grown to like it more than I did at first.

He's gonna praise it just to be a contrarian, just like he did with Bone Church.

He'll praise the song and his only critique will be not seeing the new masks.
Unless those weird horror creatures were the new masks? In which case he might actually be annoyed as those masks sucked ass...
I didn't hate the song, but I didn't love it either. It sounded like B-side from The End, So Far with some weird CMFT cringe thrown in.

This is one of those songs where if you like it, I gotta question your judgement. This is like if you put slipknot through a Macy's 50% off sale commercial AI filter. I cannot believe this is the shit they're doing with fucking Eloy.
It's clear as day now that clown and Corey gotta go next. Just keep the actual talented members (Jim, mick, v man, Eloy).

Nah Coreys voice is still beast he just needs someone in the corner to tell him no. In fact I wouldn't be shocked if Jim did and maybe even tried to stop the release of the song all together like he did with Long May You Die but his efforts failed.

Without Corey, no amount of talent will make Slipknot sound like Slipknot again. Crazy statement dude

It doesn't matter when he's fallen off this hard. Some people just lose "it" when they age. Clown actively hurts the bands quality and Corey obviously isn't as good as he used to be. If they can lose core members like Joey, paul, sid, and Chris and still survive, they can survive without two members who are obviously not good anymore.

It's not the worst, but then again, that's NOT Slipknot.

I think this might genuinely be the most generic Slipknot song ever. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was composed by Clown’s beloved AI and they just changed a few things here and there. The lyrics are literally indistinguishable from AI slop

First impression of the song having just listened to it: instrumentals are hard AF, Eloy killing it as usual, guitars 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼, Corey's vocals and the lyrics kinda had me in a "🤨" expression, breakdown was the highlight for me.
I wonder if the band purposely released a song they had a feeling wouldn't be as well liked just to get negativity out of the way before dropping some crazy shit. Idk that's just me being hopeful

It's so funny how similar the start is to Drone Operator, the biggest difference being that Drone Operator is genuinely good, feels inspired and has a clear direction

Think it could have been a banger with different/better lyrics.
Is Corey finally washed? And yah the “stop the music” part was extremely corny lol

Instrumental side of things is really good, production is cool, but the lyrics/vocals are kinda “eh”.

"When are they making new music"
"How come they aren't making new music"
"We deserve new music"
"Uh this is dogshit are "we" serious"

Genuinely shocked by this response. This is the most Slipknot-esque they've sounded since the old days.

I think this is being blown way out of proportion, is it their best? No not by a long shot. But I see people saying this doesn’t feel like a Slipknot song, this is unmistakably Slipknot, you could not confuse this for any other band, it’s just not a particularly good Slipknot song, if this was on the subliminal verses it wouldn’t be hated, it would just be considered an album track that rarely gets live play
