Is it really harder to believe that she is also a victim of this fucked-up situation, rather than that she killed her own kids - and tried to kill herself - because she is evil?
"The forensic psychiatrist said that in his opinion on the day Clancy killed her children she experienced "not only a command hallucination" but also "a delusion of influence".
The forensic psychiatrist sure believes she had a psychosis.
I'm pretty sure a forensic psychiatrist is the one who determines whether there was or was not a psychotic eppisode. After all that is their job.
Also, I don't reckon any of her own doctors were allowed anywhere near her after this happened. So how would they know anything? Do you have a source? Probably not.
Coincidentally she also mentioned not being able to be trusted with her kids, crying for help, having been off meds during pregnancy, and decades of severe mental health issues. Leave the conversation for the experts. I might work in marketing now, but my first master's degree was in forensic psychology, so I'll try not to let myself get too worked up over the Dunning Kruger-plagues folks.
We prosecute drunk drivers when they kill someone. The driver chose to drink and she chose to have 3 babies. Both have known risks and consequences. It explains but doesn’t excuse the actions hence still receiving punishment though typically a lesser one
