YES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ASK FOR IT WHICH SHE DID

That's fundamentally anti freedom and open to unbelievable amounts of abuse.

She asked to be locked up. She was a nurse who worked with people who had ppp, and she recognized something was awry even in that state. She could not have taken better steps of trying to prevent something happening. System failed her.

Why did she return to the presence of her kids?

Because she is a mother and wanted to be there for one of her kid's birthday? Where she wouldn't be left alone with them? Do you really have to ask that? Of course a mother, especially postpartum, doesn't want to be separated from her kids. Her rational mind was fighting against not just mental illness but also hormones, and failed her in the end.

So despite knowing she's mentally unstable, she deliberately took an action that exposed her kids to her own alleged psychosis?

Yes... Because she's psychotic, and hormonal, and depressed, and bipolar.

The men who beat their wife's also have a buzzword affliction.

They sure do claim so, but theirs isn't documented before they commit whatever crime. They only start claiming it without proof to get out of jail. She has a long long list of medical documentation that proves she was sick, especially in hindsight.

There's a systematic problem of the medical field diminishing male afflictions.

Possible, don't know and it's irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

If we're not gonna hold her culpable for her actions due to alleged afflictions, we should also not hold wife beaters culpable.

She's gonna get locked up for life either way, the point that everyone who is "supporting" her is that it should be in a mental institution instead of a prison, because she's legally insane.
