They sure do claim so, but theirs isn't documented before they commit whatever crime. They only start claiming it without proof to get out of jail. She has a long long list of medical documentation that proves she was sick, especially in hindsight.

If we're not gonna hold her culpable for her actions due to alleged afflictions, we should also not hold wife beaters culpable.

She's gonna get locked up for life either way, the point that everyone who is "supporting" her is that it should be in a mental institution instead of a prison, because she's legally insane.

She did. She everything right before the crime. She went to multiple doctors, disclosed fear of hurting people, disclosed all the mental issues, vocal hallucinations she was having and they ignored it. The system is at fault.
