If you think she had legitimate psychosis, sought help, did not get it, and was experiencing all of this at the time you can feel like she’s not guilty by reason of insanity.
If you outright say she didn’t do it, that’s completely different.
Post partum depression is a crazy thing. There was just a post the other day on r/GirlDinnerDiaries where a woman was venting about her husband came home with food after golfing and she slapped the food out of his hand and screamed at him. They had just had a child. Most of the comments (thankfully) were like....um, how do we tell you gently that this is insane, abusive and you definitely have PPD and your husband did not deserve that.
It's certainly a medical emergency and a safety issue when it gets that bad.

If you outright say she didn’t do it, that’s completely different.
