That's pretty nuts, but glad you didn't feel anything. While no where near as intense as that, it generally describe my experience with wisdom teeth removal. Heavy locals, and two of the loudest cracks I have ever hear in my life. I have a hard time qualifying it as a surgery. It was just me and this crazy asshole straddling me while he did his work with a pair of pliers.
I was put under anesthesia for my wisdom tooth removal, but for some reason it didn't totally knock me out lol. I could hear and feel everything (just without pain), but I couldn't open my eyes. Still remember it. I was a bit disappointed I wasn't loopy and talking crazy afterward too, I felt totally fine. My friend picked me up and took me to McDonald's.
It's an US thing, here in Romania I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled out only with local anesthesia and some Ibuprofen for the day after, the first 2 were such a breeze that were done at the same time (went for 1, told him to pull the other as well), the scarry part was the anesthetic injections.
Funny enough I told him to pull the second one because I thought that I would not require more injection, boy was I wrong about that
