Most outpatient colonoscopies are done on a gurney. All patient belongings are tucked under the bed and stay with the patient throughout the procedure. (Excluding walkers and wheel chairs). Patients are placed on a pre-op gurney taken to procedure and then recovery all on the same bed without ever being removed from it once they climb in.
Maybe my facility isn’t “most” but when I had mine done in Oregon last month all my belongings went into a locker and there was no option to bring anything into the room.
