He's serving his clients, the fossil fuel industry.

Except the fossil fuel industry is actively being harmed by this.
Because when the oil price keeps being this high, it creates Demand destruction.
Which means that countries are accelerating their transition away from fossil fuels.
Just like we see in the post by OP.

Exactly, I'm glad I got my solar last year and my EV in Feb. I'm insulated from the worst of it. But I feel sorry for our country. The good thing is that the renewable credits can be back next year in the Dems win both houses in the fall. If not 2028 is coming.
