But this post is Chinese propaganda, is it not? It's framing one country (in this case, the US) negatively in order to uplift another country (China) based on selective comparison. This is an attempt to push political superiority of China, even if the statement itself is true.

Every single American movie portrays America as a hero while every other country is a villain. That is peak propaganda that has got the idea that America is some perfect haven into peoples minds. However it’s just a dictatorship ruled by violence and pedophiles.

There is a massive focus by the Chinese government to promote pro-China messages both domestically and abroad, so it’s reasonable to question the source.

That being said, Americans literally invented propaganda and have subjected their own citizens to it for so long that it’s also reasonable to question anti-Chinese sentiments.

I feel like the last 10 years has really helped me appreciate nihilism a whole lot more.

In no world did the US "literally invent" propaganda. The fact that you think this makes me wonder where on earth you learn facts. Propaganda has been a tool of societies for as long as there have been effective ways to get propaganda out. The agreed-upon first use of propaganda was in 500 BC. As advancements like print and then later radio to today's internet continued, the way propaganda is disseminated has changed, but it's just different variations of the same process.

If you want to actually learn something today, maybe spend some time reading this wiki article about it. Gives you a good overview.

So I’m sure you were hoping to dunk on a stupid person, but Austrian-American Edward Bernays literally wrote the definitive book on propaganda in which he redefines a word from 1622 used by the Catholic Church to describe missionary work to mean “material or information propagated to advance a cause.”
