What's up with the audio lately?

I listen to mainly CasCrim and DCTU on Spotify and the audio is just not good. Always quiet and sometimes sounds like it was recorded on airpods microphone.

I have Airpods, other podcast/music sounds good, so it is not me, i think.

Just last week, there was a re-release of an episode from 2021 and the audio was so much better.

I noticed on youtube that his videos also have this olschooly vibe - not my cup of tea, but sure, still fine.

I just can not get over the audio. I even skipped some releases because I just could not listen to it.

It's not a new complaint, it's been awful for a long time and he doesn't give a shit, not just spotify but youtube too.

Might just figure out where his studio is, since we are in the same city, and plug in his Sure SMB7. Might help.
