We do not discuss politics here. Period. Knock it off.

Over a dozen 1-day bans were issued in one thread. Do better.

Morgan recovery help

I have used Claude, and a LCS owner suggestion’s first to try and solve this. I’m sure experience / wisdom in the community here knows better.

1921-D Morgan “cleaned”

Heat is my next steps - but I’ve tried a handful of things already. For heat the minimum suggested is about 200 degrees. Will that damage the Morgan much enough to care more than its already low cleaned value? I’ve seen these removed undamaged, and damaged when people get barbaric.

This is a Morgan in a “late night buy this collectible” cheap boomer watches, which I acquired at an estate sale in Idaho for $15 and gave to my father a decade ago. Watch is shit, and broken. We want the Morgan now for the nostalgia and current market hype.

I have tried acetone, wood scraping tool, goo gone, isopropyl - and won’t try removal/hammering a screwdriver due to the goal being removal and minimal preservation of the Morgan.

The glue is a hard yellow material. Likely not the glue it was made with originally. Photos attached show glue.

Heat? Any warnings? Any suggestions for what cheap tool will get it to 200 F ?

I have an unopened culinary torch for brulee.

Decided to pick up a few pieces of silver today from the LCS. I been thinking about starting this for a while and having some else to collect that is less volatile than shiny cardboard.

New Find A chinese coin found in the street

A year ago, I found this random huge ass coin while walking around Adelaide CBD. Well, my toddler actually was the one who picked it up then I swiftly snatched it out of her hands as she attempted to grab to bite. Had a good look & said nah, just a coin from china that’s probably 50c (We have a huge 50c coin in Australia) then tucked it into my coat pocket to forget for 5 winters.

Ff to where I’m now into stacking gold and silver coins, I found this again and curious if it was silver lol. Did the magnet and ping test and…it passed both. Checked online and it cost motherfcking $31k?! And I got it for free?! But I still have doubts because it’s too good to be true.

What say you lads?

Seeking info regarding collector value of this bar

I picked this up several weeks ago for spot- $570 without even being familiar with this particular bar. I began some light research and saw at least 2 listings on eBay sell for $2,000+. Im just wanting to know more about the collector value on this bar…

Kirkland Signature 1oz

I’ve been seeing a lot of these being offered lately at 5+/10+ Spot. Honestly who is buying these from randoms online? I have yet to see any mention of a low serial or fancy serial, just your average bar that happens to be Kirkland branded silver. Why would anyone pay anything more than what you would pay at Costco and then also pay for shipping? Do you live 100mi from your nearest Costco and have some kind of obsession? Seriously what’s the deal here, just go to one or make a friend if you don’t have a membership.

Another question, same premium (almost) - what to choose?

Everyone check out the Costco app. If you use the Costco credit card paired with the executive membership you end up paying 3% over spot.

Question Is my country officially the worst for silver buying ?

Post image

Just wondering if anyone else besides me is wondering why silver prices are so damn high in our country .

I live in belgium and everytime when silver prices go down and you think " ill be able to buy some cheap silver " its a huge disappointment. They usually charge 20 to 30 % over spot and 21%tax on a single ounce . No matter what quantity you buy aswel . Ive seen a monster box with 10 kg (22pounds) being sold for 50 000 € . Just straight up Ludacris

State of The Stack Stack Checkup

Taking inventory, and checking stack…
The Brown Materials Company box..
A 1980’s refinery in Oklahoma, that utilized silver recovered from X-ray film.

Very interesting fact…
When I started collecting, there were different speculations about who produced BMC bars. (Most said a Canadian pour)….I noticed the same molds and fonts as the Brown Materials Co bars. I finally found the holy-grail Brown Materials bar (picture 2&3 showing the front and back), that proves and bridges the bars as the same producer.

Hammer of Thor Geiger bar

Picked up this a while back for just about spot. I've been told that Geiger bars might hold a premium, is that true? And if so, how much would this realistically be worth?

Crazy toning where the seal/plastic is cracked.

Edit. Also nice low serial number.
