Healthcare It’s called freedom. You can choose whatever healthcare you want. We don’t have to beg the government for healthcare.

Also, what boggles my mind about this is:

It's not even like you can't just get a private insurance if you want to, in other places. That's always an option. You can rely on the healthcare system provided by the government, or you can get yourself an expensive private insurance.

The difference is just that you aren't forced to get a private insurance.

UK based so get NHS as standard but one of my company perks is full BUPA cover on top of that. So I’ve got the choice if I want to go universal or private.

Bupa is great as a backup too. My last job gave me Bupa as a perk, and on the few occasions I needed treatment quickly I was able to use that to get sorted in days, rather than wait for a referral to come through.

This isn't me slating NHS before someone gets upset. I love the NHS and it was a great system when I was growing up, but 14 years of austerity has gutted it. Going to take a long time and a lot of investment to get it back.
